XX-07
That’s the only region I can see.
After an update I should not have to reinstall the an application.
Fix it!
Deleting a file from the program files / starcraft 2 folder solved it for me. The file to delete is “StarCraft II Public Test.exe” It seems for some reason on some of us the update installed that file on that folder by mistake when that file should go with a different version of starcraft “Public Test Realm”.
Ooh thank you so much for this!!! This helped me out! Now I can finally go back to the campaign and finish it (for the 2nd time but hey, got to do something) Thanks DozedMenace!
thanks for this. deleting the StarCraft II Public Test.exe file fixed my connection issues.
That did it for me too. Thank you so much!
I’m having some problems with the log in. I’ve been deleting the “StarCraft II Public Test.exe” files, but it still tells me that Battle.net is down and is under maintenance. When I check my folders, the “StarCraft II Public Test” file appears again. It seems to show up whenever I try to launch the game.
Do I need to do the “WinMTR file” installation alongside the file deletion, or do I need to uninstall and reinstall the games?
Thank you very much, this fixed the problem!
hello i cant play online. i start game, i login, and he say: battle.net is down for maintanance. i go to my friends and my friends can play online but i cant why??
Hello,
I can´t play SC2 since the update in 27-07-2020 (Portugal). When I open the game, my account disconnect from the Blizzard, and I can´t login.
Appear the message “unable to connect to Blizzard services”
What I need to do?
Best regards
Try the following:
Delete the PTR executable.
- On the Blizzard Application, go to the StarCraft II tab.
- Click on Options then Show in Explorer
- Under the Starcraft II folder, delete the StarCraft II Public Test (.exe) file.
- Try launching StarCraft II.
If you do not have the Public Test file in the StarCraft II folder, try checking if you have the PTR installed and try deleting the file from there.
Thank you very much! Problem solved
Best regards
I have tried everthing, but cant seem to log in. It says Battlenet down, internet connectivity, Then unable to play offline ect…

open Blizzard and click on StarCraft II title and you will see option (Version/Region) it must say StarCraft II and after that click Options button (Next to Redeem a Code) and choose Show in explorer. After that delete file Public Test out from StarCraft II map. This should work for you. Let me know if it helped!
I try to log in after the patch installed, it says it can’t connect and the region is marked as xx-07, no word from anybody at blizzard about this issue and currently i can’t play for a few days now…
can anyone help please?
thanks
Hello! Please try the following instructions, it worked for me.
Worked like a charm!
thank you
Fresh install of SC 2 and always get this (and after this I get can’t connect to battle.net. down for maint). Even with Windows firewall turned off.
Installed the game from my orig optical media and also I notice the window for the game is titled “Public Test” which seems weird.
I should at least be able to play campaign mode (all i want to do honestly). How can I play campaign mode on my locally installed SC2?

I cannot log on because the REGION is marked as XX-07
and no other region appears or is available to select…
Has anyone else had this problem???
Does anyone know what this is about?
