same here… no windows update… worked 10 Jun… since Yersterday it wont start 
your best bet at the moment is to start with battle.net in offline mode. that skips the stage that takes a long time.

Same issue here… just bought heart of the swarm yesterday and unable to play it… What going on blizzard… Your response time into the matter is unacceptable… I am loosing time which could I use to play the game…

When I launch sc2 it disconnects bnet. sometimes even blocks my whole internet.
What the hell is this?! Why do you fix this problem for so long ?! Two days have passed, but no progress! Two days. I want to enjoy this game, and not wait 10-30 minutes until at least something is loaded. Maybe you can do anything? Return us to the previous version and after that fix as much as you want. Or correct everything as soon as possible.
+1 too slow launch… EUROPE region.
When I click play the game just won’t start. I get a SCII exe that just has the title Starcraft 2 and a loading bar and the button cancel and that’s it. I’ve tried letting it load for 1 hour a nothing happened.
Clicked cancel and it told me: "An error occured starting Starcraft II. PLease try again (Error 2:1).
I’ve tried scan and repair, found nothing wrong. I’ve gone through the steps in the article 153491 and it still gives me the same error. I’ve deleted and uninstalled both SCII and Battle.net and reinstalled them and still nothing.

I have the same issue. Deleted the Blizz Entertaiment folder - just made it worse. Reinstalled the game - didn’t help.
I remembered last night Win10 installed 2 updates - uninstalled them, but I still can’t launch sc2 :-/

I have the same problem. I tried the support but uhhh… useless.
My windows also installed 2 updates, before I experience this error 2:1.
The solution for me was: 1. I opened the folder where the executable SC2 file is, in my case the folder is located at:
C:\Program Files (x86)\StarCraft II\Support64\SC2Switcher_x64
- Then I clicked with the right-click button in the file “SC2Switcher_x64”, and I execute the function of “troubleshoot compatibility” a window appeared and asked me to run it with windows 8 compatibility, (or something like this), accept this option, then a window of SC2 appeared and it started to downloaded something after it downloads everything the game launched !!!
