You serious? 20202020
See yerâ gettinâ pwned on the field of reading comprehension. Just proclaim me thine father and get this over with.
Well, they donât have field medics.
Our father in Heaven, please let me go?
There is no God where I am from.
So the Protoss just let theirâŚ
Never mind, really have to go.
The whole point of warping back is to treat the wounds so they dont become lethal. Thats why they dont have field medics.
Your arguments are forfeit. ITâS OFFICIAL BOYS.
Shakuras first, Korhal second.
I see, the trolley thing is a morality question with no clear right or wrong answer. Got it.
And holy jeez, this thread exploded since yesterday.
I see it as a dumb and vague thing thatâs just intended to boggle your head.
Yeah. Logically, youâd push the switch since âthe needs of the manyâŚâ and all that.
In reality though, thereâs a lot of factors: Do you know any of the people and how would that affect your decision, are you decisive in panic situations or do you freeze up, etc.
Well there are a couple of examples Khastiana had remained in training and it was her choice to join the zealots, although her teacher, a high templar, recommended her not to, Khaldaris chose the vanguard in the Reclamation cinematic, and Urun gave the option of his soldier, that only those who wanted to follow him in a suicide attack. There is a certain degree of choice, but generally the zealot do not shy away, and it depends and depends on the executor in question.
good in what we were, although we talk about the action of shields the mass recall and the incredible way to relocate the troops are teleportation and the use of field doctors, with the protoss technology, the presence of protoss would not even be necessary or this

the purifiers was of the conclave and it was not about the security was of the obedience
Thats not really the point of the exercise. The idea is that if you switch the tracks, you just killed somebody through your direct action. Its sort of a similar thought exercise to âif you had a time machine, would you kill baby Hitler?â
Its generally considered to be stupid because its A: hideously contrived, and B: because inaction is still an action. If you have that kind of control, it doesnt matter that you didnt set up the scenario. You decide the consequences, so its all on you. The obvious right answer actually is correct.
Thanks. Thatâs very helpful. So the Templar have enough agency that there really is a âbuy inâ.
I agree with you on this. I was willing to let this trolley problem go until I was asked a different variation where youâre a doctor and you can kill one healthy patient; harvest him for parts and save five other patients in need of immediate transplantâŚ
Trolly problems are fun because they have infinite variations. They are also why we are never going to get self driving cars.
Anyways, There is an out of control trolley, if you do nothing it hits nobody, if you pull a lever it hits five people but one of them is Hitler.
Ima let it hit nobody. Hitler is either on the cusp of dying of old age anyway, in which case he will invariably be killed by the heart attack from a near-trolly-impact anyway, or he beat Death in a game of chess and is immortal, so trying to kill him is pointless.
Yes, this was always the case in ethics classes.
The train was initially headed towards 5 kids who were crossing the tracks when they shouldnât have been. The choice was to:
- Change the tracks so you kill the 1 law-abiding kid
- Do not change the tracks and kill the 5 kids who disobeyed the law
~https://www.moralmachine.net/ has similar problems but tests many different factors.
Artanis has always been a utilitarian based on his past arguments with Vorazun. He follows a strict Protoss first policy. The best example of this is in WOL where Selendis reluctantly battles Raynor in Safe Haven because he impedes their purification procedures, despite the respect they had for each other.
Vorazun: Of all the templar, you never wavered in the belief that our two peoples could live in unity. It is something I admired in you.
[âŚ]
Artanis: But you are also protoss. That is the greater affiliation.
Also, letâs not forget that after securing the Keystone, Artanis still had uncertainties about its potential until Karax deciphers all his research about it:
Artanis: Then Zeratul has led us to hope after all. Continue your research, Karax.
Otherwise he wouldâve said something more affirmative like âI knew my faith in Zeratul wouldnât fail us.â
Been thinking about Endion vs Slayne is
- Gaining more allys (Purifiers)
or
- Removing enemies (Taldarim)
a better choice?
In retrospect the Taldarim not only leave Amon but join you. However you donât know that going in. Alarakâs offer is simply to remove the Taldarim from this conflict.
I think getting more allyâs is the better option. Plus going the Taldarim capital is risky without the purifiers. And then there is the âIâm in charge Alarak not you factor.â
There is also the issue that the taldarim are less trustworthy. Alraka himself does not inspire security and we could be leading a trap where we get surrounded by an enemy the only reason a battle does not break out is that Alarak declares a ritual battle. While the Purifiers are somewhat more open, Vrazun comes to the conclusion that the Conclave could have been a problem and the theoretical analysis of karax highlights the value of these synthetic beings and the affinity with us because they are copies of Templars
haha he said this because Zeratulâs plan failed because Artanis did find the xelnaga but Amon anticipated any important opponent and killed them, . The zeratul idea was usa xelnaga vs xelnagas. Artanis already provoked his faith by jumping a galactic glitch that could have destroyed his ship, this is only that after the disappointment the artifact is still salvation
I prefer Slayn over Endion because Artanis implies that he is legitimately struggling with the decision to awaken the purifiers or not. Heâs weighting the practical and moral benefits of having them treated as templar versus the risk that they might just turn on the Templar and become another enemy. Alarakâs bargain though is much more straightforward. If he didnt trust Alarak on at least some level, he wouldnt allow him to remain on the ship in the first place.
