you guys need to try to make some money for yourself and understand what it feels like to get through contracts
You have every way of knowing, because ive been pretty explicit about what it is youre doing. Iāve even given you alternative subjects to talk about. Youre simply choosing to ignore me because youre uncomfortable responding to me questions.
Passivity is tantamount to complicity. If you canāt understand that Blizzard has taken a stance against the people of Hong Kong, regardless of whether it is within their right to do so, Iāve got nothing left I can say.
And youāre delusional if you think a company can be complicit in genocide, repression and imprisoning dissidents and remain unscathed, as if the american public will simply shrug its shoulders and let it all unfold without comment. Dirty dealings can happen for a while, in the dark. Not forever, and not when exposed to the light of day.
He is confused about what capitalism is. He thinks that not the Bottom-Line to Shareholders is what matters but a kind of Communist-Internationale (one of the reasons why Stalin argued with Trotzky) applied to Corporation in furthering the interests of US of Aā¦
Iāve said it before, it is within their rights to do so. Blizzard is a company after all. But that is no reason for consumers who disagree with the decision to shut up about it. It is the right of the consumer to disagree and criticize a company for decisions they donāt agree with. Trying to explain it away as it being the right financial decision doesnāt remove the political and social repercussions the decision has.
See this? This here? This needs to stop. Firing somebody is not the same thing as being complicit in genocide. You do a grave disservice to all the people who have actually fought against these horrors by comparing them to a video game company firing some casters for going off script.
I am not confused about what capitalism is, I disagree with the way it is being implemented here.
Iām not ignoring you, Iām according you the respect of explaining why I canāt talk to you, because it runs the risk of bullying you, which is a subjective call - one I happen to disagree with, but since your perception is more relevant to your own feelings, I choose to respect it and not talk to you.
also i donāt think it is the starcraft 2 balance team that is making decisions to ban hearthstone players for violation of a code, OP might think blizzard is much smaller than it actually is
Blizzard doesnāt want to lose the ability to hold events and sell their games in China. Itās a big market, and if China bans them, thatād hurt the company; of course theyāre going to bow to pressure. Iām not saying itās right, just that itās understandable, and Blizzard isnāt really in a place to make a stand on the issue.
Blizzard sponsored events arenāt the place for speaking out on political matters (nor are these forums). If the players did it through other channels, thereās a possibility of Blizzard not taking any action on it.
Where the line should be drawn, and the specifics of how it was handled arenāt so straightforward. In an ideal world, Blizzard would feel no pressure to take action on such a thing from the outside, but this isnāt an ideal world.
The player signed a contract and apparently, violated it by making a political statement at the wrong time/place. Thatās all there really is to it.
The appropriate response is not to ignore somebody, but listen to their concerns, identify the problematic behavior, and change.
And yes, refusing to interact with me beyond the minimum necessary amount to clarify that you are avoiding interaction, is ignoring me.

Passivity is tantamount to complicity. If you canāt understand that Blizzard has taken a stance against the people of Hong Kong, regardless of whether it is within their right to do so, Iāve got nothing left I can say.
What you are saying is absurd, dangerous [to liberty], and authoritarian.
Do you even know what complicity means?
You can get imprisoned for it complicity in a crime, by the way.
Are you saying the Blizzard board of directors should be charged with suppressing the rights of Hong Kong protesters?
Thankfully, nobody but you delusional internet SJWs subscribe to that ridiculous train of thought.
1 if u want to protest against blizzardās policies youāre probably better off doing it not on a place that is run by the company itself
2 if you read my post i explained the player was making a choice to sacrifice his financial and career gains in order to protest what he deemed as a cause of justice

Millenia old rules also include slavery, genocide, subjugation of women. Being very old is not an inherent justification for customs.
Strong and indipendent countries enforce their Rules (that have a Historic character) and do not allow their land to be robbed and bullied. Non-interference from/in other countries affairs is a very good principle (when somebody has enough power to enforce).

I am not confused about what capitalism is, I disagree with the way it is being implemented here.
well then you are confused about it
True, but in this case, ive done nothing wrong, so i believe your subjective interpretation is at fault. But since i cant change that without interacting further and thereby potentially harming you, i can only step back and hope that you come to a place of greater emotional health in time.
God bless.
Doesnāt blizzard delete political topics on this forum? regardless of the content?
Capitalism also included the slave trade and opioid trade. Capitalism is not an excuse to throw ethical behavior out the window
Or you could listen to my words, cease the offending behavior which I have clearly and explicitly identified, and continue in a more productive manner.
But I donāt believe you are interested in that.
