OVERWATCH ACHIEVEMENTS GUIDE

The following guide is a list of all Overwatch Achievements currently available in Overwatch. If you have Wiki access (Trust Level 3), I will trust you to add your own content to supplement this guide including advice to achieving each achievement. Please don’t link or embed external videos at this time. Also, keep each achievements strategies limited to one or two paragraphs. This wiki thread is split up into seven posts (one for each category). Use the formatting I have written into the thread (Markdown/BBCode Syntax only). If you have any common gameplay definitions including common in-game terms, acronyms, and phrases that relate to playing Overwatch please place those in the Overwatch Glossary. Lore terms and definitions should be placed in the Lore Glossary. Also check the bottom of this guide for the WIKI index, to see if your content is better placed in one of those guides. If you are not sure if your content belongs here, post a reply to ask for help. Everyone else who is not Trust Level 3, if you have a suggestion for a new definition or any change to an existing definition, please post it in a reply.

GENERAL ACHIEVEMENTS

Centenary

General - Win 100 games in Quick or Competitive play.

STRATEGIES

This requires no upfront strategy outside of just continuing to play the game. Eventually, you will be able to win 100 matches in either of these game modes throughout consistent and regular play.

 

Decked Out

General - Collect 50 unlocks for a single hero.

STRATEGIES

Aside from spending any Gold currency to specific items, this achievement will come about natrually as you continue to collect and earn items from Loot Boxes.

 

Decorated

General - Earn 50 postgame medals in Quick or Competitive play.

STRATEGIES

This achievement will unlock over time as you continue to play in Quick Play or Competitive Matches. Remember, you have a medal if you can rank among the top three players in your team for the most eliminations, objective kills, objective time, damage dealt, or healing done. If you want to earn this medal relavitly quickly consider playing healing roles the most.

 

Level 10

General - Reach Level 10

STRATEGIES

This achievement will unlock quickly by simply continuing to play the game.

 

Level 25

General - Reach Level 25

STRATEGIES

This achievement will unlock quickly by simply continuing to play the game.

 

Level 50

General - Reach level 50.

STRATEGIES

This achievement will unlock quickly by simply continuing to play the game.

 

Survival Expert

General - Use health packs to heal 900 health in a single life in Quick or Competitive play.

STRATEGIES

For the most part, play flanking characters like Tracer or Genji who don’t stay near the objective often. Then simply remember where most of the health packs are throughout the map you are playing on. In most cases smaller health packs will be close to objective points or the payload route, whereas larger health packs will be farther away.

 

The Friend Zone

General - Play a Quick or Competitive play game in a group with a friend.

STRATEGIES

This achievement is self explanatory. In the event you are a new player to your platform and don’t have any friends yet, just keep playing the game. Eventually others may want to send you a friend invitation and then offer to group up. Do so to get this achievement.

 

The Path is Closed

General - Destroy 3 of Symmetra’s Teleporters in a single Quick or Competitive play game.

STRATEGIES

This is very likely the most difficult achievement in the general category to acquire and has become more complicated since Symmetra’s rework in the early part of 2017 where she now has the shield generator as an alternative ultimate. Unfortunately, this is really based on luck. I recommend playing flanking heroes that can quickly get to places where Symmetra will likely place a teleporter. The first points on Assault Maps are often the most common.

 

Undying

General - Get a 20 player kill streak in Quick or Competitive play.

STRATEGIES

Focus on your survival at all costs. It will be more important to stay alive rather than getting the next possible kill when things are becoming risky. Also try to work with a friend who can be a dedicated healer to you during the course of gameplay.

OFFENSE ACHIEVEMENTS

Air Strike

Doomfist - Get a killing blow with Doomfist’s full-power Seismic Slam in Quick or Competitive play.

STRATEGIES

https://www.reddit.com/r/DoomfistRollouts/ has a lot of easy and powerful Seismic Slam spots where it will get to full charge.

 

Clearing the Area

Pharah - Knock an enemy to their death using Pharah’s Concussive Blast in Quick or Competitive play.

Cratered

Doomfist - Hit 6 enemies with a single use of Doomfist’s Meteor Strike in Quick or Competitive play.

Special Delivery

Tracer - Stick 4 of Tracer’s Pulse Bombs onto enemies in a single Quick or Competitive play game.

STRATEGIES

Your best bet is to farm your Pulse Bomb on tanks and to use it on them as well, as they are large targets.

 

Target Rich Enviroment

Solider.76 - Kill 4 enemies with a single use of Soldier: 76’s Tactical Visor in Quick or Competitive play.

Their Own Worst Enemy

Genji - Kill 2 Enemies with a single use of Genji’s Deflection in Quick or Competitive play.

Total Recall

Tracer - Recover 400 health using Tracer’s Recall without dying in Quick or Competitive play.

STRATEGIES

This one requires timing your Recalls to get your health back. While it is possible to get this achievement with three Recalls, this will leave Tracer at low health. As such, Recalling more moderate damage consistently is safer. Try to save your Recalls for Recalling health; otherwise, try to use your Blinks for getting out of tight spots.

 

Waste Not, Want Not

Reaper - Get 3 Solo Kills with a single clip of Reaper’s Shotguns in Quick or Competitive play.

STRATEGIES

  • Sneak back to enemy backline, then shoot three heroes to “tag” them and ult. Best maps are payload or assault. Good luck! - Wulfyk

 

Whoa There!

McCree - Interrupt an enemy Ultimate Ability with McCree’s Flashbang in Quick or Competitive play.

DEFENSE ACHIEVEMENTS

Armor Up!

Torbjörn - Have one of Torbjörn’s Armor Packs on 5 allies at the same time in Quick or Competitive play.

Charge!

Bastion - Kill 4 enemies with a single use of Bastion’s Configuration: Tank in Quick or Competitive play.

Cold Snap

Mei - Freeze 4 enemies at once with Mei in Quick or Competitive play.

STRATEGIES

Try to keep the foes in a tight enough area so they cannot escape (Ice Wall is very useful here). Using the primary fire on her Endothermic Blaster to speed up the freezing. With the ability to pierce multiple targets, this is a bit easier on clustered compositions.

 

Did That Sting?

Widowmaker - Kill 4 enemies using Widowmaker’s Venom Mine during a single Quick or Competitive play game.

Ice Blocked

Mei - Block 1200 damage with a single use of Mei’s Ice Wall in Quick or Competitive play.

STRATEGIES

Blocking off a Bastion in Configuration: Sentry with Ice Wall is a useful way of getting this achievement.

 

Mine Like a Steel Trap

Junkrat - Knock an enemy into your steel trap using Junkrat’s Concussion Mine in Quick or Competitive play.

Anger Management

Winston - Damage 6 enemies during a single use of Winston’s Primal Rage in Quick or Competitive play.

Game Over

D.Va - Kill 4 enemies with a single use of D.Va’s Self-Destruct in Quick or Competitive play.

STRATEGIES

Use boosters to throw your Self-Destruct at the enemy team from unsuspecting angles on wide open maps where there is little cover for them to hide. Alternatively, combo your ult with a Graviton Surge, Earth Shatter, or even a good Halt.

 

Giving you the Hook

Roadhog - Interrupt an enemy Ultimate Ability with Roadhog’s Hook in Quick or Competitive play.

Halt State

Orisa - Pull enemies into 1000 damage with a single use of Orisa’s Halt! in Quick or Competitive Play.

STRATEGIES

In order to get Orisa’s Halt State achievement, the enemies must take 1000 damage, so pulling a Genji, Lucio, Mercy, and Soldier in a Self Destruct won’t give the achievement since only 800 damage was done.

 

Hog Wild

Roadhog - Knock 2 enemies to their deaths with one use of Roadhog’s Whole Hog in Quick or Competitive play.

SUPPORT ACHIEVEMENTS

Antipode

Moira - Hit 7 targets simultaneously with Moira’s Coalescence in Quick or Competitive play.

STRATEGIES

You will need to hit at least two enemies and one ally. The remaining four can be a blend from either team.

 

Enabler

Ana - Get 4 kills or assists with a single use of Ana’s Nano Boost in Quick or Competitive play.

STRATEGIES

  • Depends on your team. Best way is to get two friends - one on Zarya and one as Genji. Zarya catches 4 enemies in Grav on point and Genji uses his blade that you nano. Just have in mind if enemy have Zenyatta he could counter it. Better save Nade for it.
    Side note: you can replace Genji with Hanzo - both their ults ignore barrier, just nano him before he uses his ult. - Wulfyk

 

Grounded

Brigitte - Kill an airborne enemy with Brigitte’s Whip Shot in Quick or Competitive Play.

STRATEGIES

  • Look out for airborn enemies. Predict their falling pattern and strike them accordingly. Your best bet is to strike someone jumping, into pit they cannot recover from. - Wulfyk

 

Group Health Plan

Mercy - Restore 200 health for 5 players without dying as Mercy in Quick or Competitive play.

STRATEGIES

The key is not going into the fronline, try to stay with your team without getting in danger.
With Valk you can Heal Multiple Targets at once!
So try saving your Ultimate so you can use it when you see that many teammates are getting hurt.

 

Huge Rez

Mercy - Resurrect 6 players as Mercy without dying in Quick or Competitive play.

STRATEGIES

  • Key phrasing here being “without dying”. Focus on your own survival don’t go after risky rezes just under enemy nose. Your best bet is to pair with friendly Rein that will shiled you during those 1.75 s. - Wulfyk

 

Huge Success

Symmetra - Teleport 20 players in a single Quick or Competitive play game as Symmetra.

STRATEGIES

You nees your team to use your teleporter. If you place it as shortcut from spawn or quick high ground access and communicate with your team you shouldn’t have much troubles getting it. Biggest obstacle will be your team mates. So I suggest LFG or at least 3 stack. - Wulfyk

 

Naptime

Ana - Interrupt an enemy Ultimate Ability with Ana’s Sleep Dart in Quick or Competitive play.

STRATEGIES

  • You need to listen to audio ques and look out for flanking McCrees and Reapers as their ults are easiest to shutdown. Also ulting Hog is nice juicy target for that one. Remember sleepdart have delay in fireing so you need to predict your opponent movments. -Wulfyk

 

Rapid Discord

Zenyatta - Get 4 kills or assists with Zenyatta’s Orb of Discord within 6 seconds in Quick or Competitive play.

STRATEGIES

  • One of hardest to get. Only strategy is to have team that focuses on your called out, discorded target. Other than that stick to one DPS and support him. - Wulfyk

 

Simple Trigonometry

Moira - Fully deplete both types of Moira’s Biotic Orb without dying in Quick or Competitive play.

STRATEGIES

  • Focus on not dying part. With Moira it shouldn’t be that hard. 2 capture points maps are your friend as both teams love to stand in chokes and absorb damage. If you don’t have that much luck, as defender use your damage orb at start of round when attacker spwan door opens. Be wary of D.va. Healing orbs are best used in closed points like in Lijang Market or Illios Lighthouse. - Wulfyk

 

Supersonic

Lúcio - Block 1000 damage with a single use of Lúcio’s Sound Barrier in Quick or Competitive play.

The Car Wash

Symmetra - Hit an enemy with 6 beams simultaneously as Symmetra in Quick or Competitive play.

STRATEGIES

If you place all of your Sentry Turrets near a key choke/pathway, it should be fairly easy to get this achievement.

 

The Floor is Lava

LĂşcio - Get 3 killing blows while Wall Riding as LĂşcio without dying in Quick or Competitive play.

Zenyatta - Restore 1500 Health with a single use of Zenyatta’s Transcendence in Quick or Competitive play.

MAP ACHIEVEMENTS

Can't Touch This

Maps - Prevent the attacking team from touching the payload for 1 minute in Quick or Competitive play.

STRATEGIES

This achievement best works by playing coordinated with a 6-person group in quick play. After an escort type map has begun try to defeat an attacking team to where the payload is significantly far away from their spawn area. Then try to spend any possible time to attack them near their spawn.

 

Double Cap

Maps - Capture both objectives on a capture map without dying in Quick or Competitive play.

STRATEGIES

Focus on your survival rather than getting kills as you work to achieve this.

 

Escort Duty

Maps - Push a payload 100 meters without leaving it in Quick or Competitive play.

STRATEGIES

Play good tank roles and focus on your survival as you work to earn this achievement. Try to pair up with a friend who can heal you frequently.

 

Lockdown

Maps - Win a capture map on defense without losing the first objective in Quick or Competitive play.

STRATEGIES

This will likely occur eventually as you play. Just learn how each map works and figure out how to quickly return to the first objective from your spawn area.

 

Shutout

Maps - Win a control map without the enemy capturing an objective in Quick or Competitive play.

STRATEGIES

This will likely occur eventually as you play. Just learn how each map works and figure out how to quickly return to the objective from your spawn area.

 

World Traveler

Maps - Win a Quick or Competitive play on 12 different maps.

STRATEGIES

This will eventually be unlocked the more you continue to play. Remember there are now 18 different maps which qualify for this achievement.

As an update I got basic tips uploaded for all General and Map achievements (as they are the easiest).

I’ve made some additions to Total Recall and both of Mei’s achievements. They may need additions/editing.
In addition, Road Kill is a Defence achievement, but it is currently in the Tank category.

Thanks! I may add more in the future, but I got most of these without focusing on getting them on purpose (only ones I’ve specifically grinded out are Armour Up (mainly luck) and Total Recall), so it is a bit hard to go from experience.

Where do we add extra bits of info for getting achievement if they’re not really a strategy?

Not sure what you mean. Can you provide an example?

I’m guessing one example would be with Armour Up. Just throw Armour Packs around the point, and occasionally check up on others to see if anyone specifically needs a pack.

This is what I want to add.

In order to get Orisa’s Halt State achievement, the enemies must take 1000 damage, so pulling a Genji, Lucio, Mercy, and Soldier in a Self Destruct won’t give the achievement since only 800 damage was done.

It’s not really a strategy so I don’t know where to put it.
