Has been this way for years:
Crossplay and Aim Assist
We made a change to Aim Assist in Crossplay (PC+ Console) lobbies. If you play in a Crossplay game now, Aim Assist is enabled in all matches except Competitive.
In our data, we found many groups were crossplay groups between PC and console players. This meant if you were playing on console and grouping with players on PC, you were opting into a bad experience for yourself to play with your friends. Also, if you had a group that was primarily console, but one of your friends was a PC player, you had to leave the PC player out to have a good experience.
We’d like to reiterate—at this point Aim Assist exists only on console platforms.
We’ll be monitoring the deployment of this change carefully and making changes quickly if needed.

I don’t play nearly as much as I used to. Being introduced to other games allowed me to split up and diversify my game pool which has helped with burnout a lot.

Crappy balance, cheaters getting away with everything, no content behind paywalls, crappy balance
balance. thats literally it. their literal 1 job as a pvp only game, and they cant do it after 8 years.
theres no excuse as to why certain characters are unplayable past a rank threshold. theres no excuse for reworks to leave characters in a state worse than they were originally.
8 years. and they have no balance philosophy or experience to show for it. unbelievable
they actually hired a new balance guy whos on record for not having played overwatch before being brought on to “balance” it. i hate this stupid game solely because of the balance team alone. what a shame
Let’s see… abysmal matchmaking, awful progression systems, greedy monetization with constant fomo crap, missing features (e.g. LFG), too many bad maps, 5v5 making tanking a donkey**** rock-paper-scissors simulator…
More than enough reasons to quit but I still didn’t uninstall cuz: “At least there’s that ‘highly replayable’ PvE coming. Right?”
WROOONG!!! You get glorified archives event instead, only 15€. Btw we knew about this since launch but decided not to tell you anything. Sucker.

I did come back few times but always uninstalled again after 1-2 sessions. Occasionally the game can be fun… like every 3 months and only when severely drunk. And playing exclusively MH (which they also attempted to ruin).
Though I did declare that when they do their 6v6 experiment I’d come back properly (i.e. not drunk) just to play tank. And I did. Miles better. But I still ended up uninstalling again before the “event” was even over. I got too damn annoyed with the game bombarding me with my least favorite maps/modes. Felt like I had to play 30 matches just to enjoy some King’s Row and such.

I know its kind of a weird reason, but the non-blizzard collabs did it for me. As soon as they started doing anime and a porsche collab of all things lol I just couldn’t care about the game anymore. Fortnitification was complete, the identity of the game was dead.
I haven’t quit, but I’m not playing a lot right now. I’m on a massive Doom Eternal kick (the platforming does my head in, but the gunplay is amazing.)
Your reasons for leaving are fair though, if you’re not having fun it is time to move on. I hope you’ve managed to find other games you enjoy. 
How can you judge something as boring and dumb when you haven’t tried him?
There’s more to the hero than what they look like, you know.
As for me, when the game direction and future of the game isn’t sync with my liking.
side note : i am investing my time thousand of hours for OW since 2016 but,
- i am demanding so much tons of OW’s new heroes but Blizz ignoring it. Blizz put “2” but only few new heroes available
- Blizz has failing me once (PvE mode), next time they made another bad mistake, it’s not easy to give another trust.
- currently i’m watching how Marvel Rival handle to my liking, i heard they will release a lot of heroes rather than 3 new heroes per year like Overwatch does
So, right now i will set my eyes on Rival more than OW.
I’ve seen him played a ton, I do not enjoy his kit. “Let me block most damage and deal upwards of 70 dps to you while I do it.” It’s brain dead.
I won’t quit perm, but I’ve started playing less. What I have notice is this as OW’s biggest flaw, it’s too snowbally. What I mean is very rarely is a game close or competitive. Either I destroy the other team or I get destroyed. This has 2 main factors, the game modes and team comp/hero balance. The game modes and more specifically the newer modes are designed where snowballing is very easy to achieve. The team/hero balance is that tanks seem to determine the game just from how powerful they are. From my experience if I/my tank dominates, we will win. If we get tank diffed in the slightest, its a loss.
Iv been waiting for some new competition for a while now. Its a culmination of things Blizz done from false promises to more obvious issues that made me on the verge of uninstalling.
Right now, OW2 is on life support on my PC. once MonsterHunter Wilds releases, Im going to need more space on my PC…

FF7 Rebirth on the 23rd is going to need space on my PC… Think OW will be fully gone at that point.
Like you said, there’s competition, and it’s doing it for me atm.
Haven’t quit yet, but getting there. It’s not even the ‘competition’ Marvel game (which I personally think is a trash pile, but everyone just sees new and shiny).
It’s Blizzard themselves. From terrible decisions, all the way to the god awful reporting system. Make it easy to lose your account so you’ll get another and re-buy all your cosmetics? I cannot wait for Overwatch to finally die one day because it’s the last Blizzard game I will ever touch, they will never get another penny from me.
