For me, it was finally competition in the hero shooter department, mixed in with bad balance and an overall toxic community base. When you can’t play what you want, because you’ll be mass reported, or extremely flamed for it, why even keep playing?

i havent quit playing yet like that isnt inculuding leaving some matches but the game is pushing me over the edge and honestly i think it needs to bo back to sbmm instead of eobm or whatever
I didn’t quit, I just don’t play right now. Outlast Trials with friends is too fun.

With my CPU upgrade, I’ve fallen back to First Descendant and Path of Exile 2. MR when I want to play a hero shooter.
Outlast Trials, my friend is obsessed with. Calls it the “Daily therapy session.”

That’s going to happen in the other game too (particularly since it’s a lot of the same people that used to play this game)
I prefer that other game over OW2, but there are problems inherent to the genre that won’t ever go away, and the quote above is one of those.

They are quick to remove toxic people from my experience. I have reported about 15 people and I have received 3-4 messages about them either being removed from matchmaking, or removed from communications.

Sombra rework was my last straw for the game. Sick of seeing my favorite hero changed so others can have more fun than me. All while she was underperforming. Sick of random cries balancing the game instead of logic and stats.

I picked her up before her rework and enjoyed her too. It’s felt like with OW, they see who you are getting good with, then either nerf or rework them to make you have to relearn, or avoid the character all together.

And that report system will be abused just like the one in OW2. Curious what you reported 15 people for. I know I reported some outright racists for that and I too got a notification - but it’s the reporting for GG salty player types that worries me if there’s no review process.
I swear some people quit just so they have a group they can belong to and commiserate with lol 
I don’t think they send messages for name violations. I added one guy who had a racist name (Just imagine the word Porch and a specific animal), and now his name has changed to something normal, and I never got a message about it from him or Rivals.

My bad, thought you were referring to names. I haven’t came across racist text much yet, or I didn’t notice.
I just notice the most outlandish names, more than anything.
Haven’t quit, but have been bored of Overwatch since S9. I now mostly play during Competitive Drives or when they release new heroes — every new season is a blur. They are playing it too safe in the face of that other game.
And there are other issues I have with them. Taking what seems like a 3 year vacation(drought) cancelling the promises PvE while also keeping the guise that it was still coming. Changing their monetization getting rid of all rewards outside of competitive grind. Releasing skins based on how popular kiriko is. How every new hero release so perfect in the preview just to Uber buff then for release. So they get artificially popular. Like so many issues since ow2. And honestly almost more insulting that they all of a sudden can offer free cosmetics for an event now that they’re being pressed against a wall.
It’s just all added up and has gotten so old.

Didn’t try Hazard during his trial, and haven’t in his release. I find him a very boring, generic, and overall dumb tank.
Yes, they are, and it’s sad. The other game coasts on it’s allure of characters and lore. OW has the better gameplay by far.

If I quit, I wouldn’t be on a forum for a game I don’t play. I would be on Reddit/forum of the game I do play.
