I went through all this to prove a point. In the end, i actually liked playing Sigma where i never did previously.
That said, Reinhardt is not a god. And more importantly, you cannot nerf him without compensation of some kind. Be it higher steadfast again, faster move speed with shield, or even greater damage. He’s not someone who can be so easily nerfed.

Some tanks need buffs or just simple adjustments. Like real time shielding for kinetic grasp and toggle shielding for Orisa. Simple things like this can go a very long way. Outright nerfing one tank to make another viable is not balance, it’s favoritism, and it’ll just make queues longer.
sigma is 4th in pickrate, thats right down the middle.
orisa still does need an adjustment but she’s not literal scrap metal. i still have my replays available in one of the posts if you wanted to look
Numbers. Rein is picked about 3 times more than him. 4th place is sounds good but really 3,6% is pretty bad for a tank.

Replays are your personal momentarily situation. We have stats for this and the stats say otherwise. Personal experience is (oftentimes) worth nothing if you dont have about 100 games or more to back it up. I would also say (from my personal experience) that I see Ball more than Hog but thats wrong.
Like I said this where a few games. You could not say that she is fine just because you had a good week with her.
They should buff the shields of Orisa and Sigma agin. They both where dumpstered because of the shield nerfs and still bad to this date. And the only other shield tank is? Correct rein…

not the solution i’d go with, they’re nerfed for a reason. Sigma isn’t as problematic as people make him seem. Orisa just needs a toggle barrier with higher HP and she’s good.

It is. Rein will forver be a mustpick untill they nerf him so hard that he is worse than Sigma. Then Sigma will be the most picked tank. And so on…
Orisa, Rein and Sigma are the main shieldtanks (same with Ana, Moira, Mercy and maybe Bap as mainhealers). You need them in every match. If just one if viable well then you have the rein situation. They are picked for the shields and not for damage, range, health or anything. They exist to provide shields. If they are bad in this then the best one will rise. Simple as that. No matter what you buff on Orisa and Sigma. If its not the shield uptime, it will change nothing expect replacing zarya sometime.
True but when Rein is the most played Meintank and Zarya the best played offtank… the others need help. Why? Because nerfing the tanks even more will result in even more tank player playing something else.

hard doubt. Buffing fortify will make orisa better, buffing kinetic grasp will make sigma better, and buffing damage will make both sigma and orisa better
The problem with the common mindset of Orisa is that she competes with rein.
I think that Orisa is the most complimentary of all the tanks, and should be considered as a “second fiddle” to all. She shouldn’t need to compete with anyone, and shouldn’t be forced to.
A large part of why she started getting buffs in the first place (like the 12 -> 8 second shield buff) was because people were trying to shove her into a main tank role to replace rein when she works better as a secondary tank in many scenarios.
So about how many players 100? Not very representiv.
If you dont see a Rein every game than pls tell we the mode because I see him everywhere.
Inacurate just because there are no other arguments? Rein and Zarya are dominating the categorie and because they are the only options noone will play tank. You know why the queue times are so low when playing tank right? Because Rein and Zarya are you go to options.
