Genji’s dash is an important part of his kit. If they were to remove anything they’d be better off removing double jump than dash, not that they should be removing either. Genji’s kit doesn’t work without his mobility.

Currently, it takes a squishy down a quarter of their health.
It should do 25 damage at the most.
Or
It’s stays 50, and he gets a reset for the movement ability for an elim, but not the damage. The damage has to wait the entire cooldown period.

it shouldn’t reset from assists, too snowbally… or at least increase the cooldown to 10 seconds to allow for more counterplay… the damage could be fine if they tune down one of those.
genji worst offensive part is the m2 spam that’s too easy to hit (very little input) for too much damage (very high value). its basically a better reaper shotgun
its as if his kit is still broken at a fundamental level

no I want to kill tanks as lucio therefore he should also get unblockable instant damage
Is winstons leap also obnoxious since you can do 50 damage on impact + a 30 melee for 70.
What about doomfists punch since that is unblockable and practically instant and multi target like genjis dash.
Wreckingballs slam is pretty unblockable and does 100 damage aoe.
If you say “You can block them with bubble” your point is invalid because you can block dash with bubble too.
Dash is the least op thing about Genji.

Lucio can take on reinheart ive done it plenty of times and seen clips of people do it plenty of times if you just wallride he cant do any damage to you and you can heal boop him and whittle him down.
In a 1v1 lucio vs rein, rein just has to run away to his team.

How have you consistently complained about Genji for 2 years straight through not only his meta relevance, but his stints at the bottom of the viability rankings? Surely at some point you can just acknowledge that you’re the one at fault and the hero isn’t actually unfair and realize you need to improve.
Note, that alot of these threads were made at points during OW1 where Genji was objectively one of the worst heroes in the entire game.
The sooner you admit that you’re just inept when it comes to playing against Genji the sooner you’ll improve.
Nothing you experience at your level is a balance problem. You are facing Genji players who are not good enough to climb out of your rank, which means other people at roughly the same level are more than capable of winning against the character.
If he was really the unbeatable monster you believe him to be, then the same people who play him and dominate you would also dominate other players at your skill level and climb.

by insisting he was ever “objectively” the worst hero just shows how in denial genji players are. he has consistently been a high enough pick for him to be in every match, if not, every other for years and I don’t care about his pick rate in the OWL. I don’t care about professional players not finding him “efficient” enough to use. there’s a reason why there are so many genji threads, now so more than ever. his passive ability combined with his advanced movements makes him a pain now that they’ve completely toned down CC yet he came in with 0 changes to compensate. nothing.
being unable to 1v1 the entire team does not make him underpowered, no hero in the game can reliably do that yet all I ever see is genji mains complaining when they can’t deflect a specific ability or when they can’t team wipe with shurikens alone. if he’s truly the hero with the highest skill level then I want you all to prove it without relying on his crutch of a kit.
