I don’t care how little damage it does or how much he “needs” it, the fact that it’s unblockable and instant makes it a crutch.
no hero should be able to instantly do any damage with no compensation. get rid of it, prove how much “skill” he really needs.

The worst part is he can use it after a cancelled deflect with no recovery in between. No counterplay or skill at all.
I would have nerfed his Dash instead of his damage.
Either get rid of the assist reset altogether or just reduce the CD for a few seconds for assist and a full reset for a final blow or something like that.
The downside you’re forgetting is without dash, genji is a literal sitting duck.
Dash is a very life or death ability in genji’s kit. Its also a tricky ability to use correctly since genji should only be dashing to either secure a kill or flee.
But since dash is genji’s form of escape, if you can peel a genji off someone and he burned dash, he’s a free kill. This just sounds like a skill issue.
I really don’t understand the desire to complain about every part of genji’s kit. it’s really not that bad, especially after the nerfs. and yes, it is only 50 damage. that’s not that much
But at least his other ability (deflect) is uncounterable as well

Its also only up for 2 seconds at most, and on an 8 second cooldown. If you’re shooting into deflect thats a you issue.
People who act like a genji with burned dash is not still the hardest dps to hit, more so a “sitting duck” should be reported for trolling. Genji could not have dash at all and he would still be good up until low diamond at least.

Genji when double jumping forces himself into predictable arcs that are easy to track with at most 10~ hours of practice. I hate to hurt your ego with that one but if you want to beat your opponent you need to be better than them. That includes being able to hit them.
The hitbox on it is huge too. It’s basically a free execute.
Not getting killed by an ability is not “countering” it lol. Even a rein hammer can’t hit through it

That it being unblockable isn’t really a big deal since there are so few heroes with a block ability in the first place.
It’s like Winston’s beam is also unblockable but…it wouldn’t really make a difference if it did, like 30 heroes in this game have no block ability.
