I don’t think he did…although, I personally don’t favor him being nerfed. Tbh, I think he should have been buffed and I hope that’s what we get.
Like, how Hammond was “buffed” but actually nerfed…I would love for genji to like, get a dmg nerf but a projectile size increase.
No he did not need buffs. Other DPS heroes needed nerfs. Big ones at that. Look what they did to Ashe and McCree mainly. It’s just disgusting what the devs are doing. Keep neutering healing and tanking while buffing damage.

Also also, Tracer and Widowmaker were always way worse even when Genji had his 8 second Dragonblade at release.

So much so the pro’s and streamers alike went out of there way to one trick these hero’s in competitive to prove they were actually just bad and the stats were lying. What they found out was both Soldier and Genji were able to destroy teams, in double shield no less. Meta’s the shouldn’t have been good in.

He objectively wasn’t, despite what Genji mains would have you believe. We have the proof in the form of his stats. He was fine, and there are a lot of heroes who were languishing in far worse shape completely ignored (and now rendered even more irrelevant by OP Weeb).
