Does using HyperX NGENUITY still get you false banned?

Hello,

I remember around a year ago when using a HyperX mouse, the HyperX Pulsefire Haste, would get you banned on Overwatch if you had the latest software update for HyperX NGENUITY (see links below). This appeared to also be the case for a set of HyperX headphones running on NGENUITY. Is this still the case? Has anyone been banned recently for using HyperX NGENUITY or any HyperX products on the latest software?

Thanks!

Considering you can get false banned for saying anything in chat, I wouldn’t put it past Blizzard to automate bans for stuff like this as well until its officially addressed

I don’t know. The HyperX NGENUITY false bans was resolved and players who were banned got unbanned after around a week. I haven’t heard anyone having issues with HyperX NGENUITY since then. This ban affected many players which is probably why it got resolved so fast.

This is the first time in months that I’ve been on the forum, however I remember that false bans have been a topic brought up very often. I think I saw at least 1 or 2 posts about players getting wrongfully banned for cheating per week on the forums.

Most of these cases seems to stem from players using softwares that the anti-cheat mistakenly thinks are hacks.
