He has been underperforming. Why would they nerf Roadhog? Lol. People just repeatedly calling for a nerf to heroes have no credibility anyway.

Hog poses zero threat to squishies if he can’t combo them. Without his one shot combo Hog is useless.

Hook is probably the most telegraphed ability in the game. Learn to deal with it. He should not be nerfed because people refuse to adapt.

Wrong, he can still kill squishies, just not in 1-shot; and pulling a target out of positioning can easily allow a teammate of yours to essentially make the Hook a 1-shot if they help you out.

The idea is to make Roadhog less frustrating on the receiving end, while still maintaining his power level; less burst but more frequent attacks and/or more survivability is how you do that.

he still gives your team a massive ult charge disadvantage which can be huge in a game.

If Hog can’t combo then when he hooks Reaper or Mcree that would be instant death for him.

When Hog fails to hook someone he retreats because without his hook combo he can’t do anything.

Anyone asking for his combo to be nerfed just doesn’t want him to be viable at all.

Do people REALLY think GM pickrate matters or does it only matter to undermine how a hero’s general pickrate is good?

Let’s follow this logic through, how many heroes who have EVEN WORSE pickrate in GM would be disproportionately affected by Roadhog being buffed in this particular way?

Who has REALLY low pickrate in GM? It’s Reaper, it’s Bastion. Reaper gets so close tha Hook’s travel time doesn’t matter, Bastion is stationary where hook’s travel time doesn’t matter.

My prediction is that GM pickrate suddenly won’t matter with these heroes.

I am not saying Roadhog doesn’t need a buff, I am saying that this is the wrong sort of buff.

I got hooked/one-shot yesterday as Brig while my rally was running. It was my favorite.

Roadhog did need a buff
this buff gives him 15 more damage
it just makes it easier to 1shot 225/250 hp targets
which is his job
to bully heroes out of position
by no means will this make him broken

by some way it does
then we can revert it
but it is way too early to tell

You act like Jeff Kaplan wasn’t around to talk about that roadhog balance change before he left. I’m sure these balance changes are discussed in meetings well before they are announced.
