Not a fan of the idea of buffing him, because I don’t think someone with his damage potential should have it come easy.

But I’ll still support threads wanting to buff him :+1:

Well, if i can help put things into perspective… :smiley_cat:

Currently, his max dps is 450, if Every single Pellet hits the target…
(Which really doesn’t happen often)

But, The thing is, Bastion mains all agree on two things:

  • Headshots.
  • Reduced Sentry mode spread.

The reasons are, it raises his damage Potential, while raising his skill floor and ceiling at the same time…

Bastion players/mains would have to work for their damage, but would actually be rewarded.

I’m not saying it’s great now. But I also - fully aware of my own bias here - don’t want it to be great. I don’t like that playstyle with him. I find reduced spread like it was before encourages him to stay still and you can’t get that close.

But, again, I don’t really want to argue it. I have my own thoughts about Bastion and I’ve sat on them for a long time trying to feel otherwise. :frowning: I can’t. So I don’t want to be here to tell people “no your hero is fine” - because he’s not. And while I might not agree with the buffs people suggest, I still want him to get attention and to be looked at. :slight_smile:

The thing is… Bastion just feels horrible to play as…

Even a shield idea has been proposed.

It would only deploy on Sentry, and Only Regen _Out or Sentry.

I can only imagine. I hated playing him before and…well, now a little less. I’m just not a fan of sitting in one place for more than 2 seconds LOL. But I know that playstyle resonates with some people, and everyone deserves to be fun to play.

I can’t…say that any change would sound good. :joy: I’m biased against him, and I just have to admit that. I’m not the best judge. That’s why I just gotta trust the people who play him a lot to come up with the right ideas :slight_smile:

I main Sombra, and I just don’t want any hero to go through the garbage that we’ve gone/are going through :joy:

I might not be a fan of Bastion, but everyone deserves to have fun in this game and have a good time :slight_smile: That’s how it should be!

You are doing more than most of this playerbase.

Some of them are happy about the infinite Stealth… JUST So they can better hunt us.

I don’t like infinite stealth. But, yeah…I can’t deny it makes it easier to hunt him down. Even without that, it wasn’t that hard to counter him unless the entire enemy team pocketed him. Still…any hero being guarded like that would be hard to kill for any hero :thinking: Can’t imagine why Sombra mains wouldn’t like Bastion mains. If anything, I would think Bastion mains hate us because of what we do LOL.

I really like the idea of replacing his Ironclad bonus with a 350 hp shield. It solves his biggest weakness - of being easily slept/hooked/etc - without really breaking the character.

Yea… I don’t favor it either… they kinda over changed her there…

I dislike Salty sombra mains… Have had a few death threats from Sombra’s who had no clue how to time stealth, and got… Shredded…

But you, Are quite the opposite.

Exactly.

He actually used to have one in the Beta, and… some of his new skins even still have the little emitter lights, that are supposed to project the barrier…

It’s a very possible change, that could fix quite a few issues.
And he would still be VERY Vulnerable from behind, and to high burst.
(Especially if the shield only regens out of Sentry)

I feel like Xbox and PS4 don’t take reports seriously. :confused:

If/when Bastion gets any kind of love and attention by the devs, I’m already prepared to ward off the “NERF BASTION” threads. People get so used to a hero being so bad that when they stop being bad, people think that’s OP…when it’s not lol

The great thing about giving him a shield is that it doesn’t make him any stronger where he is currently strong; hiding behind someone else’s shield.

It makes him more versatile, without breaking him like the suggestions for bringing back his ability to headshot while in sentry, or other similar suggestions.
