As a gold ranked player myself, I definitely don’t want people at my rank trying to say how the game should be made.
It’s one reason why I’ve been trying (though not always successful), to avoid asserting too much opinion about the current hero balance state of the game.
Just become a streamer if you want some special access.
Well no 1 person is going to say how the game is made,
the idea is to give different voices, there are situations, like the reaper one when he had 50% lifesteal where the feedback of such gold players was actually necesary, because 50% lifesteal reaper in the high ranks was actually still underpowered, but breaking lower ranks, and unless those lower ranks spoke up, it wouldnt have been fixed
i mean you still can, as long as you see it outside of your rank,
im platinum myself and i still suggest stuff, but i base my ideas in proper workshop testing and stats

The WoW forum had a community manager who did this and was vital for the success of WoW. They kicked him out and suddenly problems in WoW (BfA) piled up

It’s more the fact that you’ve posited this new community leader position, nominated yourself and then said that, well, they don’t have to pay you.
I didn’t read everything, but if something like this did come out (and I’m not against it) I think there would have to be separate categories for console players and pc players, because there is a gaping discrepancy between platforms as far as what is strong/weak. And both voices should be heard, and heard equally so that console isn’t left behind, but also so pc isn’t made worse because of console needs.

which many of the others who say this seem to be ignoring,
its possible that this could happen, although from what i see you can generally tell that there is some form of consice opinion in here, even if not apparent at first,
something like a poll could reveal some trends we didnt see before,
especailly if you use it not only in the forums but on other communities as well
