Just got out of an ARAM game where some dude instalocked Butcher, played terrible, complained to the team that he “couldn’t do anything” (As though it’s our fault he insta-locked Butcher) and then got super toxic in chat for no reason. I tried explaining to him that Butcher is always risky, especially in modes like this and he literally could not wrap his head around the fact that Butcher kinda sinks, especially if played bad and especially in a mode where it’s easy to stop him from getting meat. We lost of course and he kept crying.
I can understand people wanting to give it their all, even in ARAM, however picking someone like Butcher, playing bad and then crying about it like the rest of the team is at fault is just… baffling.
And its a lvl 999 Sylvanas with 10k games played on one hero LOL.
And look at that kda man. How this player has managed to avoid getting banned for feeding for this long amaze me.
And the few heroes he has played only 5-10 games on only has 0 kda LOL.
Like you really need to be half unconscious to have this kind of stats.
But ironically he has 60% winrate over 10.000 games that’s quite impressive for someone, who dies a lot. So I consider he’s playing really aggressive and loves to overextend.
Played two Quickmatches with Hanzo and always gets matched vs Ilidan. Is it common that, if you pick Hanzo, then your enemys are your counter/dive heroes?
But the second game was the most frustrating one on Towers of Doom:
Our comp:
Sonya, Li-Ming, Nova, Hanzo and Whitemane
Enemy:
D.Va, Uther, Murky, Ilidan and Sylvanas
How we are supposed to win this against a dive heavy team?
Okay that’s more fitting, but still 48% is close to 50%… I would rather expect a winrate around 30-40%. It’s not hard to hold a KDA around 3-4 like I have with heroes I have not mastered yet, but I am decent with. On the other hand with heroes I have mastered my KDA is around 6-7, just because I know my limits. My highest is probably Murky with 14 lol and that’s only, because his deaths counts as 1/4.
Not as impressive as it appears at first glance. The player has been playing HOTS for 6 years, the win rate would come from when Sylvanas had the trait which was always active to shut down structures. This was a cheesy strategy that could work between Bronze and up to Platinum. The Syl player would spend most of the game just split pushing with permanent black arrows and mercs and minions.
Often teams were too slow to react to this, or not smart enough, or their team wasn’t equipped to trade forts. Syl was problematic with this trait, it was very cheesy but like Azmodan with Demonic invasion, this strat could often lead to wins, but with the resulting very low KDA.
If you win more than you lose, even you’re dying a lot. That’s still good for you. Deaths gives enemys an advantage, but if you can still win their advantage wasn’t enough to beat you.
But Frog already clarified that this guy has 48% winrate in SL and that’s a big difference to 60%.
If you saw how he played then you would understand why he had 1.2 kda after that many games.
He would start the game by going directly to top fort and push it with trait. Then get ganked and do it all over agian.
After some time he gave up and moved to bot lane and did the same again just to get ganked multiple times again. And in teamfights he would teleport into enemy team and 1v4 them just for me to go in and get a easy kill on her.
When game was over she had died 12 times and killed only 2 and had contributed nothing to her own team but be a giant feeder
I’m not denying that, it was a strategy that required little skill as it was mostly powered by her then the trait and how smart/dumb your enemies were. If you had your team work with you at the start you could rush a fort with black arrows and with luck you could take it all. There was good reason the trait was reworked.
I remember a SL game against a Syl one trick who did this strat, I just took Nova in draft and went constantly where I knew she would be and deleted her. If a team hadn’t taken someone to gank her quickly, or enough siege to counter push, it was pretty easy in low ranks to win just because of perma black arrows.
lol, yeah, well that’s exactly how I would expect a pre rework Syl to play. They were often very unskilled with their hero in team fights and do exactly as you said, rush a fort at the start with black arrows and then keep repeating it.
I just had some of the worst teammates ive ever seen.
Basically, we were snowballing the enemy team as
butcher
morales
muradin
junkrat ( me )
abathur
on alterac. butcher finished his quest super early despite them having a much better comp and we stomped on them so hard ( like 3 lvls ). we had all structures and they lost all forts and a keep. The enemy took boss so we went there, did a 5 man wipe, and my teammates defend boss. i think that they dont wanna go core since too risky and i say its fine. I do obj for them and tell them to have fun.
THEN AFTER WASTING 30 SECONDS ON BOSS THEY PROCEED TO GO TO THEIR CORE. I THOUGHT THEY WANTED TO DO KEEPS!!! the enemy respawns and they all die. I try stalling for obj and IT GETS ON 0.6 SECONDS LEFT AND I DIE TOO. they get obj, we lose all forts and a keep as well. and then my teammates just lose their brains and decide to go in one by one to die.
ive honestly never been so mad CAUSE THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE AN EZ GG GAME. I did sooooo good and i got top of the charts damage ( talk > 100k hero damage and more siege than enemy azmodan and like 8 kills ) and they just destroy the entire match for me -_-
also, my team barely did 5k damage to the enemy core. so it wasnt like i didnt follow my team and damaged the core. I was literally chilling at obj when i saw at the top of the screen my team being wiped cause they did the stupidest move ive ever seen honestly
Classic misconception. They feared Boss is faster than them, so they have to clear them first before going in to the core, because enemys could respawn and disturb their plan and then the boss is more successful.
But I would say it’s a “bad” habit to act like that, they learned to defend their structures from big threats like boss or big waves, so they intent to defend it first before doing anything else.
but common sense says that when the enemy is respawning, i dont just go to a beefy 40 armor core with 2 keeps up. if they did keeps we would’ve won with obj -_-. and we had aba who can defend a bit. remember we still had all structures up
They probably acted on instinct and just went straight there and forgot that they were too late. I see this things often. It’s like acting in a tunnel vision… not everything is rationalized and thought through.
Game one, Player shows Melee or Ranged Assassin roles. I pick Blaze (I honestly haven’t picked him since his changes). They have 4th pick and we need an offlane and bot-lane on Dragonshire. They pick Diablo and type “Damage Diablo”. I check their profile, they’ve played 1000+ games with Diablo. We clash mid, Diablo doesn’t intend to offlane, so I logically do as Blaze. Diablo never hits anything into walls, rotates to me to clear waves… I ping retreat, they ping retreat. I go tank, they die in the offlane… total frustration.
Second game, I ask for a dedicated tank, we get our Blaze, and I Leoric on Infernal. I call dual soak, but then our Tassadar cries out for our team to leave him dual soak bot-mid. So we try to rotate top-mid. They die several times (no duh!). We’re behind, but I’ve been getting forts here & there. We get one good teamfight, and we all ping to push mid keep with Punisher, I ping I will back and defend. Tassadar starts attempting every single camp on the map, then attends the keep fight last and dies first… We lose two and the game.
Kinda liked my Leoric performance though 30k+ Exp and Tombs that got us kills.
Honestly, I’m tired of players stealing my role. At this point, I don’t care if they’re bad at their role, just let me do mine.
Seriously… couldn’t even get any heroes HP low enough for a kill… they all just soak damage… let alone it was a 2 lane map which even makes it worse cause they are bunched up…
Seriously… the devs and managers are idiots with MM
Seems more like a l2p issue than matchmaking problem, your comp isn’t that bad. The only thing that might be concerning that enemys got a bruiser and you don’t, but your comp is fine. I would even say your comp could be potencially better, because you have better lategame and Johanna is capable solo tanking.
From a play point of view, again did you read my 2nd part of the post? We couldn’t get any real damage in, it was a 2 lane map which they bunched up always. I couldn’t even dive, and even if I dive, there was no real damage follow up. Front line soaked so much damage, even hard to get to BW… and BW kept jumping from heals to heals.
Furthermore, the enemy got 2 bruisers and we got damage. Yeah ok, but bruisers can soak a bit of damage while dishing out damage, probius and zag are not bursty. Yeah Zag can dish out damage when she can, but its mostly DOT damage not burst. Also probius is not the best hero to output damage as he can vary from build and playstyle. Probius damage is unreliable.
This is where MM failed, from what I saw, NONE of us played terribly, just so happens their team can dish it out while soak damage and soaking damage from a butch under 200, probius and zag isn’t that hard to soak damage, when you have BW doing AOE heals + her lvl 10 snap heals + her global.
Zag did her best to push but Azmo from the other team kept denying her push and with Zag out of the picture, while we’re left with a pre-200 meat butch, probus, whitemane and jo to deal with a tanky team which wasn’t going so well at all.
Now how can I charge a team of Stitches, BW, Sonya and leoric…? Even if I don’t charge, how can Whitemane, Jo and Probius deal with them, making it a 3vs4 scenario.
You may think the comp is fine but it wasn’t at all.
