Quick Cast dose not save

The quick cast options are not being saved.

this is what i would suggest trying since it could be a corrupted file.

first try using the scan and repair from the launcher. it doesnt hurt to try that and if it fixes it then you dont lose anything.

if it doesnt fix your issue… move on to deleting the actual files i mention below.

–WARNING-- this will delete ALL your settings --WARNING–

go into ./Documents/Heroes of the Storm/
delete Variables.txt

go into ./Documents/Heroes of the Storm/Accounts//
delete Variables.txt

go into ./Documents/Heroes of the Storm/Accounts//Hotkeys/
delete any custom StormHotkeys files you see here.

now reopen the game and see if your quickcast plays nice.

Thank you for the reply. I did the Recovery and it did not fix the problem. I then deleted the selected files and it also did not fix the issue.

Is your Documents folder currently tied to OneDrive? If so that could be preventing the setting from being saved. If you have one drive active, we’d want to look into disabling it.

So it looks like windows defender decided to prevent HOTs from modifying “controlled folders.” so I deactivated the control folders function and it works now.

Could you explain how you fixed this?

Nothing works for me and it’s driving me absolutely batsh crazy
