Please remove sky temple until fixed

It’s silly that there is a known issue with Sky Temple that causes players to crash out of the game over and over, regardless of how many times they rejoin.

Why is Sky Temple even in rotation at all? Why not just remove this map until it’s fixed?

Never had problems with Sky Temple so far. Maybe make a topic in bug section if you think there is a problem with it. Also always make sure your computer is up to date on drivers and sound cards as that can fix some problems in this game.

That’s a Mac problem, not a general bug. It doesn’t effect ~99% of players.

And it has been going on for months. The game is on life support so it sucks big time they aren’t dedicating much effort to fixing (probably cheaper to ignore it or work on it very slowly).

The general consensus is you can use bootcamp & install Windows to make the problem instantly disappear.

It’s not a “true” fix but it’s a realistic instant fix.

Sky Temple Crashing

I’m a Mac player and I also rarely if never leave games. But sometimes/almost always Sky Temple would crash/freeze during the load screen before the game even started for me. This especially happened on ranked matches after draft causing me to get leaver status and lose 500 rank points. Now I have a rank of BRONZE 5 WITH 0 RANK POINTS! How is that even possible I honestly kind of want to quit the game now because I was placed a lot higher and rank was my favorite thing to play until I ended up…

Leaver Status from Sky Temple Kernel Panic

Just to clarify, I rarely leave a game; even if we had 4v5 or even 3v5, I usually sticked around. So this leaver status seems to be coming from Sky Temple kernel panics. It would make no sense to take out a feature that doesn’t effect the vast majority of the player base.

For example if Storm League crashed upon loading the lobby on Mac, they obviously wouldn’t disable all of Storm League. Or if Quick Match crashed upon loading screen on Macs.

I honestly don’t mean to sound critical or offensive, but it is self-evident that Mac players crashing out of every Sky Temple game absolutely affects Windows players.

That’s why we need a much more punishing system to penalize the leavers. For example, 1 week ban after the first offense, 1 month for the second and for the 3rd, account deletion. Purposefully using inadequate equipment to deliberately create disconnection and affect all the players involved in the match is an extremely immoral behavior.

If such a system were to be put into effect, then the hero’s team is going to have to review every report on a player for leaving, instead of the automatic system doing it for them.
