Yes. Though you left out that solo queue is meaningless in a team game. ( though i suppose this crew would rate a half back on his ability to kick field goals)
But this goes against the romanticism that everyone desperately wants to believe in.
If you want actual competitive play and not a progress bar skinner box experience that you can circle jerk with your buds to, play in a tournament leagues.
Yes, everyone is misty eyed in this thread about ladder purity.
I’ve never had to quote myself before, I feel cheap.
What you keep stubbornly ignoring is the fact that a great many people rank up due to their own skill on multiple different heroes and roles.
Aside from what I feel were just a few lucky stints I had in Diamond, I’ve hit my skill ceiling in Platinum. This is fine and it’s not because other players are “bad” and holding me back, or the matchmaking is bad or holding me back.
Did it occur to you that perhaps you’ve reached your skill ceiling? I’ll say this much to you, if you think you can get better by blaming all on factors other than you and ignoring the advice offered to you here by Master players, it’s a safe bet you will not rise in the ranks, but will probably fall.
If he put half as much effort into listening to the advice offered to him, rather than arguing, he might make master rank.
It’s almost as if achieving mastery of heroes from each role or a specific role actually allows you to fill all the necessary spots when needed or know what to choose for against the current draft.
Imagine arguing for 16+ hours over this stuff back and forth with vague responses when you can spend that productively somewhere else like playing the game or learning something new.
I’m literally
You are going to get you butt kicked in ranked so hard because once you get past the ranks of people with no brains (If you make it that far). You won’t know how to win vs strategy and will be a total liability to your team.
Ranked is the ultimate “flex” game mode where it will truly show how good you are at the game. If you play Azmodan/Hammer, for example… You will naturally win more games simply because of how easy it is to push with him. Doesn’t mean you are good at the game. In ranked you won’t get to do that vs organized teams and you will naturally lose more (as a solo queue).
Everything you mentioned, The enemy also can do. That’s where the game becomes actually hard and not just a brawl. Ranked is about having the most preparation, skill, communication and leadership. QM is literally the “kids” version of the game compared to ranked. Nobody tries hard in QM either, so if you think ur good vs them… I got a BIG surprise for ya.
i remember having better, more quality games on ranked. I did climb back in 2016? from rank 50 to rank 1, then from silver 5 to D2 solo.
But yes it is the ultimate flex, and the only game mode that actually “matters”. It’s too bad I moved out to asia and the region im in has so little players ranked is almost impossible unless you want to wait 12-15 minute for 1 game.
I mean he thinks the “top players at top ranks play differently than what you said” is an argument, lol.
Like even if it’s true, he is the one saying that “in SC I can tell my strategy for every rank” yet denies that below GM you need a non-GM strategy.
The strategy in SC2 for everything below diamond is Macro. Making workers and building armies. You can literally just a-click your army across the map so long as continue building workers, units, and expanding.
Not as romantic sounding as knowing timings, stutter stepping, harassing, etc. None of those things matter until you’ve mastered Macro. In fact, at the lower ranks they are more of a detriment. Macro is what wins games.
This is what you keep refusing to comprehend. Headshots win games.
