I mostly want to see current heroes fleshed out more with skins and graphics (Anduin’s portrait moving in game, same as Maeiv’s one skin, and Blaze’s) with additional skins (I would love to see Yrel rocking a legendary Doom maiden skin) and adding from the universes that are still lacking.

If they’re going to add a microsoft related hero, they’d probably try to be smart about it and figure out what is the most likely character that appeals to the older fanbase, as in what microsoft franchise does the usual blizzard fan play other than blizzard games. I don’t have an answer to this one, I didnt play any blizzard game before hots and just now picked up starcraft because I loved the starcraft characters.
as long as Microsoft isn’t adding Clippy I’m fine with any additonal Hero. I’m still having nightmares from Office 2003

Pretty soon the game would turn into Soul Calibur which they bastardized after the first game, but since it’s in maintenance mode I suppose it’s no big deal.

So youre saying a shivering isles map or a mehrunes dagon vs imperial city map is an entirely possible outcome out of all this? I’ll take it.
I haven’t thought about maps yet. But yes this seems to be a possibility. But also maps from Halo for example.
I just hope Microsoft will reinvigorate the game!!! I would not mind Master Chief along with others if they would. And if they can make this game compatible with Xbox they could gain players with their game pass I am sure.

Gotta have Blood Gulch in some form or another. That map has been a classic since the first Halo dropped.
There’s still a snag in UK, but the FTC and Sony have withdrawn their opposition.
The deal has been extended from july 18 to october, but UK’s compromise/concerns should be resolved by the end of august.
It can be noted that during the FTC’s block, actiblizz was ordered to stop acting like the acquisition was going through, so while we don’t have details on what that entails, it does confirm that at least some have been working on some sort of transition once the deal finalizes.
Additionally, microsoft upped the failure-to-buy fee they would owe if the deal doesn’t close in 3 months. The FTC trial was a clown show, so ‘most’ are seeing it as inevitable now that Sony agreed to the Call of Duty 10 year agreement for non-exclusivity.
Really surprised that Sony would just bow. I expected them to fight this tooth and claw.
