You cheap corporation - have some decency and decline a resolution attempt here and close the thread with ~244 replies. Is it some kind of sadism on your end to keep them begging?

I agree I have the exact same problems described in this thread and it only shows up when playing on MacBook with M1. Beautiful performance but can’t see Alex or Malfunction heals, DW landing location, Deckard triangle etc… @Blizzard, ETA on a bug fix please??

We’ve gotten acknowledgement, but it’s not a priority on the Classic games team. It’s disappointing that the game has gotten into this state. Which sucks-- my mains are unplayable. I miss the pre-Overwatch days when Blizzard supported the Mac as a first-class platform.

Been playing this game since Alpha. I only have a Mac because that’s what I work on… the fact that Blizzard WON’T fix this issue is goofy, it’s unacceptable, a retardation of their responsibility.

This company has gone down the toilet.

BREAKING UPDATE: Microsoft is now set to acquire Activison!!! There may be hope in the future! I know Microsoft would love to own a MOBA!

Still happened sometimes on an intel macbook, on 2021 M1 Max MBP it happens all the time, also effects boss aoe hits etc.

one year later, how is the progress on these issue? can we players help the developers out with logs/system infos?

Did anyone find a work around?

This still not fixed? Been a year since I got the new M1 mac, for an issue that seems so trivial, I assumed it would be fixed quickly but evidently not. Blizzard plz fix!

So there are some on reddit who now question if we should all report this bug to Apple. As the Intel Macs seem to not have this issue. Apple says that Rosetta 2 should translate intel apps to run on Apple Silicon without issue, and if you do experience issues coming from intel to apple silicon, then report the bugs to Apple.

If the game works on Intel Macs and does not have any issue with ground effects… and the same exact same game file is running on M1 Macs… it may actually be the Rosetta 2 translation that is causing the issue. Blizzard did not release a native HoTs, so this is in fact the exact same files that any intel Mac would run. It may really be up to Apple and a bug in Rosetta 2 translation layer.

I think I’ve lost hope at this point. The game was working properly on my intel mac. So from Blizzard’s side everything is running well. Rosetta is not translating the code properly. It’s not the first and last game which is working worse on m1 (I’m looking at Battletech right now).

It’s really a shame because when games are running well (like Total War Warhammer for example) I’m really impressed. TW game is running smooth on high settings with native resolution and fans are barely kicking in.

So we’re having this awesome laptop, but most of the game running any issues are uninteresting games from Apple Arcade.

I do apologies for the lack of information on this issue but I do have some good news. We’ve received an update from the Development team and a fix for this issue should be out in patch 55.1.

Update/Edit: The Patch is likely to drop next week. This can change but for now keep an eye out for it next week. We will update if this changes.
