This is quite a peculiar scenario you are proposing. Are we discussing your personal case or what ?
In any case, something does not compute either with your numbers. I am going to take the best case for climbing: a winrate of 55% with 2 games per week at 30 points and an unfortunate disconnect once a year. And let us say a season lasts a year (the duration of a season only amounts to scale the numbers I am going to provide with the actual duration). So during a year-season, the number of games played is 2*52 = 104. There is a differential of 10% of games where points are actually earned. The 45 other percent of won games is compensated by the 45% of lost games. So the total numbers of points earned is 104*0.1*30 = 312 points. Now an unfortunate disconnect drops you further by 600 rank pts as you said (without compensation it seems). Conclusion : the player would actually earn 312-600 = -288 points, meaning he would actually loose 288 points. And he would be at Bronze 5 with 0 points after 3 years… And I didn’t even factor that you earn less rank points the further you are in Bronze 5.
So maybe, instead of giving some random numbers that fits your dreams, I suggest that you actually look at them in reality. Or maybe, you are going to say now that the lost points are not 600 for a disconnect but only 312, a perfectly random number by the way?! Or there actually is compensation for a disconnect? Or that the disconnect is only once every 2 years? Or whatnot?

Sorry if I don’t believe in your claims to the fullest. Was it you, or was it some other person. Some player in B5 tend to lie about how the system really works. For instance, they claimed they get +12, 30 pts per win while still getting -200 pts per loss. That was lie.
In regards of disconnect point lost, system allows you to receperate from the lost points as you win. Here’s the questions I still don’t know the answer to.
Does it stack?
Disconnected once. You win 2 games, recuperated some points, but you disconnected again. Will you still recuperate points from multiple disconnect point lost, or do you only get from the most recent one?
Is it really 500/600 points loss in Wood league as well, and how does point recuperation work in that case?
I forgot how many span of wins you recuperate your lost points. Was it in a span of 5 wins or 10 wins? Let’s say 5 for now. In B4+, you would get +200 +(500/5) = 300 points for a win. How does it work in Wood league? Is it +30 +(500/5) = 130 points for a win?
These are the questions I want to know the answer to. But again. Sorry. I simply wouldn’t believe you in this, whatever you say in this.
I have gained only 50 points for a win in the past. Oops, I was in Bronze 5 at the time… Show evidence (you know, like I did) and not recollection of your memory.
No I have no evidence at all, except my own eyes. XD. I only posted images to show that 55% lifetime winrate and being in Bronze 5 seems fishy. Now, I am waiting for you to post any evidence of what you are saying. Like you know, a screen of a negative rank points in Bronze 5 with 0 points and disconnecting (edit: and further loosing 600 points) at draft for instance.
I can also give you an example of when asking for evidence of actual numbers in Bronze 5, with you know, just some image that anyone can post a link to, there is none.

Nope. There are infos I’m missing to make absolutely correct (100% correct) judgement (infos I asked above for example), but other infos I’m aware of, which, even you in that very rank seems to be oblivious of.

Also, there is my experience. Afk-ers, trolls, throwers are not just limited in Wood league. It’s only the frequency, the lower rank the more, the higher rank the less. And I know if you’re like Gold, Plat, Diamond (which you first claimed yourself as Diamond btw), it is a very unlikely scenario that you fall to Wood league. You simply can carry in Bronze to not fall that low.
So the question I didn’t directly ask, but implied. Was it a diliberate drop to Wood league? If it’s not, what there can be said besides that it is simply your skill level that belongs there? Once a month dc is not gonna drop you to Wood league (from Diamond, Plat, Gold…). And I know for a fact that in above rank, you recuperate your points back.
What you are saying is “pix or it didn’t happen”… which is the same thing I’m going to say back to you.
At the end of the day this bickering is stupid. Software is never without its issues and it means nothing to any of you if some players have a different experience then you do. The answer that its a “learn to play” issue is just easy way to blow the problem off without any evidence to back up your own claim.
B5 has an issue for anyone not playing the game like it’s a lifestyle if the player has be unlucky enough to get themselves into a jam with it. Just because it hasn’t happened to you doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen to other players.
I did have a diamond account. I made it to prove a point 5 years ago.
The problem is that you people have made wild assumptions on the significance of the ladder system and you defend your belief like religious zealots. None of that is necessary.
About 600 but you also get those point back by playing. What this topic goes for I have no clue what its about anymore. If someone is in B5 and only get 10 point for a win then he is way lower than B5. Then you down in B6-10. The game itself dont show that tho.
And to get that far down you would have to lose every game you play. Having 55% winrate does not give you B5 as your rank. Something does not add up in StrangeHero’s post.
