Disclaimer
Stopped calculating this in the old rolesystem at the end of 2018, but kept it (striked) as a memento in the years it was live. Last Hero counted in it is Orphea.

Oh, my thread!
Will I be able to edit it or this’ll be kept fresh by Blizz now?

Cri Karabars, we loved your endless updates to the OG thread! But it looks like Blizz has taken the reins :sob::sob::sob:

@DylanBates, if by any chance, if @Karabars copy this thread and recreate it, can you sticky it back so he can keep it up to date?

That’s kinda what I was wondering too lol.

Could I trouble you for some of that edit power over in the Patch History thread? It’s already out of date and I’ve written up a prettier version for the new forum!

Write a ticket like I did. That’ll speed up things imo.

Not to derail this thread or anything, but why didn’t Kalviery’s post appear in the Blizzard Tracker?

Interesting find. I, too, have been tracking this in a spreadsheet by looking back at the news posts of the past. I think the order for 2014 might be incorrect, according to the kerrigan-hero-week post (15396162). That was dated Aug. 26, 2014, which would put her between Stitches and Chen.

Kerrigan trailer: Apr
Kerrigen release: March
Chen trailer: Sept
Chen release: Sept

I used the Hero Trailers on Youtube for the order in that year (and tbh the order is the least important imo).

And they say Overwatch heroes are op…

Tho I don’t think they’re op (anymore), I don’t see how their numbers/percentage in the roster reflects, proves or disproves that claim.
Just because we have a small number of them they can be op (but again, I don’t find them op).

Reinhardt at Blizzcon pls!

I thought they were win rates. My mistake.

No problem.
Here is the new role system if you’re interested: https://imgur.com/a/i1eyn3f

(Sidenote: updated the format and the role-part)

Whoa, reading the heroes list for 2014 highlighted (for me) how long ago this game was released. It still feels new!

Oh nice, this is a thing.
Kinda cool to see, thanks for putting this together.
