[HC] Mida, Her Tallness

Boss Mida is the one and only female trade princess of the bilgewater cartel. Boss Mida is a crafty leader with an eye for her future, and is in charge of the Goblin Slums. Having a group of henchmen at her whims, she is an intimidating force (and not just because she towers above the other goblins).

In HotS, Mida is a crafty and selfish support, who assists her allies throughout the match, but always for selfish reasons. Her ability to make her allies into Goons and then benefit from all of their effects cements this attribute, and she primarily helps her team by allowing her allies to output bigger numbers.

Universe: Warcraft
Role: Support

Summon Mount
Z (Mount) – 4 sec Cooldown
Increases your movement speed by 30% while mounted.

Explanation: There is no need for a special mount.

Your Cut
Trait (Passive)
Whenever an allied hero benefits from one of Mida’s abilities, the become one of her Goons for 8 seconds. Whenever one of her Goons deals damage, heals, or takes damage, 20% of those values are added to Mida’s damage dealt, healing dealt, and damage taken scores. In addition, if a Goon kills an enemy hero, Mida gains the credit and heals herself by 25% of her maximum health.

Goon grants the allied hero 15% increased healing received from all sources.

Explanation: Mida is always looking out for herself above all others, and her ability to gather Goons is nothing less than impressive. This trait perfectly brings out the selfish support playstyle I wanted to create.

Give ‘Em Trouble
Q (8 sec Cooldown)
Mida tosses a marker bomb to a target 1 unit area within 7 units (delay based on travel time), which explodes for 135 (+4% per level) damage and marking enemy heroes hit for 4 seconds. Whenever an allied hero damages a marked enemy, they gain 25% increased damage dealt for 2 seconds, which cannot stack but does refresh.

Explanation: Give ‘Em Trouble is a powerful aggression tool that Mida can use to bolster her team’s damage output. This also gives Mida some semblance of her own damage, though it is minor in nature.

Spy Games
W (15 sec Cooldown)
Mida tosses a stealth device to a location within 3 range, which stealths all allied heroes within 3 units. The device lasts for up to 3 seconds, and has 140 (+4% per level) health and stealth. While stealthed, 70% of the damage Mida takes is instead redistributed to all allied heroes in the stealth field equally. In addition, this stealth field removes stealth from all enemies within it.

Explanation: As a rogueish figure, Mida has plenty of experience both providing cover for her allies as well as locating and revealing enemy spies, a tool that is still useful in Battle for Azeroth. Spy Games is a powerful ability on a long cooldown, and helps use Mida’s allies as body covers. It also grants all allies stealthed Goon.

Robo Overtune
E (12 sec Cooldown)
Mida calls a robo-chicken to a target location within 6 units after a .75 second delay, which then flies to the nearest allied hero within 3 range, granting them 40% increased movement speed for 3 seconds. If no allied hero in the area, it remains for 1 second before returning to Mida, refunding the mana and 50% of the cooldown. After the movement speed boost ends on the allied hero, the robo-chicken will detach and fly to the nearest enemy within 4 units of the ally quickly, dealing 200 (+4% per level) damage in a 2 unit radius around the hit enemy.

Explanation: Robo Overtune allows Mida to augment her allies’ ability to engage on an enemy with a quick boost in speed as well as a follow-up burst of damage if the enemy remains near enemies.

She Does NOT Walk
Heroic #1 (120 sec Cooldown)
Mida drops a shredder from a goblin zeppelin above her, and enters into it over a .5 second delay. While within the shredder, Mida gains a 900 (+4% per level) shield for 12 seconds, remaining in her shredder as long as the shield persists. While in her shredder, Mida gains 10% increased movement speed, shields a random allied hero for 140 (+4% per level) shield for 4 seconds every 3 seconds, and her basic attack can now hit allied heroes, channeling a beam into them as long as they remain within range, granting them 15 Armor and reducing their cooldowns by .25 seconds every .5 seconds.

Explanation: Mida is shown to be large and in charge around her slums, with a custom shredder built so she does not have to walk, especially not during a meeting with her Warchief. Her shredder offers her some survivability and in combat impact, greatly empowering her supportive side.

Environmental Improvement
Heroic #2 (90 sec Cooldown)
Mida calls own an oil drill at the target location, which will wait for 1 second before drilling, creating a massive oil leak which slowly increases in size over 5 seconds from 2 units to 6 units radius in size. Enemies on the oil slip to the other side at normal movement speed (does not consider movement speed benefits), and are then slowed by 25% for 1 second. After the 5 seconds, the oil drill will explode, exploding the entire oil field, dealing 450 (+4% per level) damage to all enemies in the area, and 50% of that damage to enemies within 4 units of the area.

Explanation: Mida is the leader of Goblin Slums in Orgrimmar, and has a team of environmental engineers that have polluted orgrimmar with oil spills and leaks throughout their slums. Mida has now concern for this, afterall, and only uses her oil prospects to great use.

Tier 1

• Whack ‘Em, Boys: Mida’s Goons now also gain 15% increased attack speed.
• Keep Fresh: Mida’s Goons heal for .5% of their maximum health and mana every second while out of combat for 3 seconds.
• Early Payday: Whenever a Goon scores a kill on an enemy Hero, all of Mida’s Goons are healed by 10% of their maximum health.

Tier 3

Tier 4

• She Does NOT Walk: Mida drops a shredder from a goblin zeppelin above her, and enters into it over a .5 second delay. While within the shredder, Mida gains a 900 (+4% per level) shield for 12 seconds, remaining in her shredder as long as the shield persists. While in her shredder, Mida gains 10% increased movement speed, shields a random allied hero for 140 (+4% per level) shield for 4 seconds every 3 seconds, and her basic attack can now hit allied heroes, channeling a beam into them as long as they remain within range, granting them 15 Armor and reducing their cooldowns by .25 seconds every second.
• Environmental Impact: Mida calls own an oil drill at the target location, which will wait for 1 second before drilling, creating a massive oil leak which slowly increases in size over 5 seconds from 2 units to 6 units radius in size.

Tier 5

• Azerite Scraps: If Give ‘Em Trouble damages at least 2 enemy Heroes, it leaves an azerite core at its impact location, which Mida can move over to reduce the remaining cooldown of Give ‘Em Trouble by 75%.
• Roll With the Punches: When Spy Games is cast on an enemy Hero, it’s radius is increased by 25% and enemies in the area are blinded.
• Reusable Parts: Robo Overtune grants the affected ally a shield equal to 8% of their maximum health while attached, and when it detaches, if it hits an enemy within 2 units of the initial detatch location, it’s cooldown is reduced by 35%.

Tier 6

• Need to Know: If Spy Games is off cooldown, Give ‘Em Trouble leaves an untalented Spy Games area under it. If the two Spy Games touch one another, they merge into a rod-shaped area.
• Disposable: Robo Overtune now prioritizes enemies marked by Give ‘Em Trouble, and 50% increased damage in a 50% larger radius upon impacting a marked enemy.

Tier 7

• Economy Goals: She Does NOT Walk now has a 35% reduced cooldown, and while active, Mida’s cooldowns regenerate twice as quickly. In addition, when the shield expires, she is launched in the air, able to travel over terrain at 25% increased movement speed for 3 seconds before landing.
• Long Term Investment: While one of Mida’s Goons remains within 4 range of the drilling device from Environmental Improvement, it will not self-destruct and remain at full radius indefinitely. Mida can reactivate the heroic to cause the drill to detonate.
• Fine Print: Goon now lasts for 20 seconds on allies, and MIda is healed by 15% of the healing they would receive.
• Friends With Benefits: Spy Games grants all allies in the field 100 (+4% per level) healing every second they remain within. While below 25% health, Mida is instead healed for all healing allies would receive. Mida cannot die inside her Spy Games.

The only question I have is, why are you using Mida and not Gallywix? Gallywix is a much more well-known character.

Mida and Gallywix perform different roles in the universe, and I don’t think this kit would have worked for Gallywix; he simply has much more to work with. I have vague plans to make Gallywix as well, which will look vastly different to this kit. Please focus on the kit, and assume I have a reason for choosing this character.

Also, as for why this character over any other Goblin, she’s the only notable female goblin in the game, which I think warrants interest.

Not protesting, but another notable Female Goblin, though not-combat capable, is Sassy Hardwrench.
