It’s the Ultimate Feeling Championship in here…lol

Nice argument there troll.

I’m a regular here you can’t really go by post count because when they changed the HotS forums to match the OW format they wiped our post counts! I was here back in the day then topics like this one couldn’t infantly scroll down! We had pages to click on! There was no TL 1,2 or 3 and we had both a like and dislike button! DUM DUM DUMMM! I had well over 1000 post on the old format but to be fair that carried over from my post count on the WoW forums. xD

Made me think of Martin Luther King Jr. . He made a speech. Just words. He inspired countless people to being more sensitive to each other. He wasn’t telling anyone to do anything. It was a personal hope he was expressing, that others may do the same.

Yet, plenty still think being scummy to people still works. Venting is healthy, but that is a YOU problem, not their problem. Defending yourself is OK, but doing so within a flawed reporting system is not. Thanks Blizz!

Words do matter, for good and for bad.

Ya I just arbitrarily made up that number. Maybe “been on the forum since old forums and posts regularly” is enough to be a regular

Yes, I remember Skychase as a regular.

Please stick to the subject of the thread. Your Post has unfortunately nothing to do with it.

Does anyone know, why Darak has stopped posting in the forum?

He made a thread about win trading, along with evidence of it happening to him in a match, and some people became abusive insisting it was impossible in HotS. I can’t really blame him for leaving after being treated like that. It is one thing to disagree, it is another to be disagreeable about it.

He was online 8min ago so he is not completly gone but yea he has not posted anything since that day.

Should not surprise me anymore since there are so many here with no common sense now

Remember the forum mantra of “no” to any topic even when two opposite threads are made at the exact same time. Contrarians will be contrarians

Dude, seek medical help.

I speak the truth. Forum will disagree with topics even when positioned from both sides. Nerf dva? No. Buff dva? No. Win traders? No. Game is dying? No. Game is doing well? No

Darak got tired from forums.

He may still read them sometimes and play game. But he doesn’t feel safe to post here anymore.

Forum have become a playground for trolls and people with common sense know that.

Eh, I find it easy enough to just not bother with the trolls and abusive posters myself. Maybe it is just the tank mentality. If a thread is an obvious train wreck from the start, I just mute it. Some threads all I need to see is who created it, and I just mute without even bothering to read. If people want to play with trolls, that is their business, but the mute function means I don’t even have to see it.

There are also a handful of people I just don’t bother responding to, unless it is a specific direct question that can’t really be argued over. Having been called everything from a fanboy, shill, snowflake, hivemind, etc., I just learned that some people aren’t here for a discussion, but an argument. I am under no obligation to cater to them.

a) watch for topical context (what is being buff/nerfed)
b) see who is posting on any given ‘side’
c) notice dates. Requests before a patch may change after a patch.

1 topic for Pilot D.va has posts by: darkknight, planar, yusuke, shadowmeren, gishki, drlogan, willyverb, ironymus.

1 topic for nerfing D.va by making a Deathwing-like change on her mech.
That has replies from morphl, lucifer, Orphea, Xylord, Karabars, Willyverb, Vanburst, Madkirby

Another topic on D.va (whose first reply isn’t “no”) has replies from nukesplosive, robersonb, Odin, Lastai. Frogsaron, lucifer, Lyrasvulture.

Sure, some may have more posters beyond the first 7 in the topic, but outside of the two carrying D.va portraits, the context, perspective, claim and participants in those topics are different in each topic.

The assertion of “contrarians be contrarian” would make better sense if the same topic were intentionally inverted (instead of different aspects of the hero being brought up) and had the same participants then expressing a different opinion and were done without any patch deviations between the topics.

Now it is more likely that if someone disagrees with a point/suggestion that they then post something about it (instead of just leaving a ‘like’) but considering that different posters have different perspectives with different likes and tastes that it isn’t then uncommon that different people express different opinions on these topics.

Lumping faceless collectives into some overgeneralized claim is not “truth” because none of these collectives are “the forum” on their own. Part of the gimmick of these boards is their activity draws in different players from different regions that have different play experience. So those differences lead to disagreement when someone claims that one aspect must therefore reflect all the rest of the game – much the same as how your overgeneralizations claim to reflect all the rest of the “forum”.

came to their senses

Well honestly most people agreed that sure, wintrading is a thing that exists and can happen, but they disagreed when it came to his claim that it is a huuuuge problem that Blizzard must tackle ASAP.

Meanwhile he ignored everyones arguments regarding the subject because it happened to him one time. Since his one experience and one guy he talked to ingame about it convinced him that it’s a huge problem that was also a big business or something.

It is not a surprise that Darak has distanced himself from hots as he says that his games are so bad that every single game is filled with incredibly toxic people. And that every single game is decided by intentionally afking or feeding trolls.

I think, no one outside of the South American server can imagine what is going on there. And no one can imagine how bad the insults are without being part of or knowing the brazilian culture in detail.
