Thanks to everyone for participating in the eleventh Concept Design Contest, judged by myself, Waterlong, and Nortin! All of the scores have just been posted. This contest theme was very different than the traditional CDC’s, and forced the contestants to see their competition a bit differently. Congratulations to all of you for your effort, and more than anything your patience. And now for the results…
The winner of the thirteenth CDC is Efede, whose Sarlac concept proved that simple yet effective design can come together into a fun an exciting new addition to the cast, earning a score of 98/100. Link found here: CDC #13 Sarlac (Classic)
The runner-up was Kethcup’s Blackthorne concept, which introduced a variety of new and flavorful mechanics to create an engaging new playstyle, earning a score of 97/100. Link found here: CDC #13: Blackthorne (Classic)
Finally, for the honorable mention, Marrossi has been chosen by the judges for the interesting design decision to adapt the design space of old Tassadar and run with a brand new and interesting concept for it. The precision with what people want earned Marrossi the spot.
With the end of the contest, I’d like to congratulate every participant again for their hard work and success on their concepts. Once again, I apologize to how long it took to finalize results, and want to emphasize how amazing all of your concepts were. I look forward to the next CDC, and hope to see everyone who competed this time showing their talents again for the next CDC!
