I’ve tried repairing the game, and everything short of re installing but all I get when i try to buy gems since the last update is a big blue blank box.
Also double checked billing and credit card info in my account
Just me? Hoping tonights update might fix it.
How would I fix this besides a fresh install (which i’m not sure will help since the repair feature didn’t help)

Three things come to mind.
Uh, isn’t/wasn’t that all about loot boxes and similar mechanics?
Given that you cannot even buy loot boxes with real money, I do not understand how this would apply.
Also last I checked blizzard’s response to this law was to remove the ability to buy loot boxes not gems.
Yes, but you cannot use them that way in HotS.
That was the “fix” Blizzard did. Not allow you to buy loot boxes.
Later HotS removed them for all regions.
But you should be able to buy gems in HotS.

Dont buy from a game that wont let you buy things with cash. I refuse to give this game money till its fixed for this gem system is bs and bliz said the people wanted this…
Why give money to a company that does not show respect to their workers by laying off 800 people but then later on sees they need the people back but does bot even offer the people they fired their jobs back.

I’m far from an expert on the stock market, but they had to do a lot of lay-offs to please their existing shareholders after effectively losing around 40% of their stock value last year - with the diablo immortal fiasco, the bad reputation the new wow expansion got (back then) and no new titles being released since Overwatch back in 2016. By decreasing their overall costs (coming mainly from their employees, esports and marketing) they ensured that their profit was bigger than it would have been, to keep more people invested in their stocks.
It might be. I still can’t buy gems. I was hoping the maintenance wouldve fixed it but apparently not.
The patch note I pasted won’t hit live servers for another week.
I still recommend the #technical-support forum, if you don’t want to wait for something that may or may not help.
I just realized i’m having this same problem in hearthstone too.
I just get a big blue blank BOX.
What the hell is going on? All my billing and credit info is correct and i can buy from the shop on my phone but not my pc and my drivers are up to date.

Hi! I´m experiencing just the same thing. I really don´t know what to do.
I wrote a commentary about this situation, but it seems that it will take some time until blizzard answer or solve this.
I tried to analize and repair the game, with no results. Maybe a fresh install would be necessary.

Try restarting the Battle.net client, updating for Blizzard games can be a bit slow. I had the same problem for Starcraft 2, which got fixed.
Or try playing a match, most games only update when you enter the game itself.
