Zeddy's video on the battlepass/new system and how streamers won't take a stand

Even Solem did the video, and he is not happy. Anyway, Zeddy is right. He is critical, and people calling him out for being negative toxic or whatever. When in reality, the dude is just pointing out giant flaws in the game. He invested so much time and money he obviously loves the game. He has the right to do it. Even people who didn’t spend the dime have the right to do it. And if Blizzard as a company shuts down any criticism, they will go into oblivion. They are surrounding them selfs with yes men’s. Blizzard became one of the s**tiest companies in the industry, and I feel bad for talented people who work there, care about the games, and they can’t do anything about it because some executive made a decision.

Zeddy is right the new system is too Grindy and at least with the old system I could pick what I wanted to spend my gold on but now, you force me to earn packs that I may not even need why Blizzard ?

thats some serious accusations, can you provide proof for your claim?

a portion of the player base will always be extremly toxic (unfortunately a large portion of them are here in this forum) and will attack and insult anyone for basically any reason. if you are critical: toxic insults, if you are not critical: toxic insults and you are now also blizzards dog.

They have always been about getting the most out of your wallet?

!!
i read on out of cards blizzard said there will be event quests during the expansion that award exp

numbers arent set in stone and they may change them if needed
and more achievements that award exp will be added later too…eh why cant i find anything about all that in all the threads people made about this ??(i havent watched zeddy video yet maybe he mentioned all this )

The new system does indeed look like it’s less gold.

Now how upset do I need to be when the totality of the rewards is greater than before?

  1. :slightly_frowning_face:
  2.
  3. :rage:
  4. :radioactive:

The issue with Zeddy is that not just in this video, but in a plethora of other videos he quickly goes :radioactive: and fans the flames. In this particular video by throwing other content creators under the bus.

GZ, most dumbest thing I have read in a while. Keep it up!

I think his tweet was fairly reasonable. It’s not a full length video but he was critical of this system as well. It is worse for ladder players, it might be a bit better for non-ladder players, and it is way too confusing to understand how much you’re getting. XP earned does need to go up significantly and/or the XP needed to get higher levels needs to go down considerably

Doesn’t seem like he even did any math at all. His “a lot less gold” or “half gold” claims are so far from the truth that it’s quite funny.

Blizz should just put a 20% overall boost to make it undeniable that you get more now and be done with it. This is really getting ridiculous XD.
Although ppl who claim “a lot less” without any grounds for that claim will probably still be unreasonably mad.

P.S. Is that the goal of all of this? To somehow get significantly more than we did before? Sign me up, I guess. I wouldn’t mind hearthstone to be a cheaper game (it most certainly is on the very expensive end of gaming).

Regis video about the battlepass is coming too!
Content creator are starting to get behind the community and that is great.

what ? 28 and 29 rewards arent year of the dragon packs (which people said its worth 0 gold ) its 150 gold each !

Solem and Dekster made a video about it too.

I sure can’t wait to unlock a year of the Dragon pack when I reach level 48.:rofl:

Why have former Blizzard employees started their own company? The Fact that even David Brevik said on his stream he would like to work with Dream Heaven, if he could work with his own team at his location…

so because some developers have moved on to new projects and challenges after many years of blizzard games, that must mean the conspiracy theories in forums are verified?

So why did the CEO of Blizzard leave then? You really should watch David Brevik stream he has a good insight of why old Blizzard devs are leaving…

I didn’t accuse them, I said “And if Blizzard as a company shuts down any criticism, they will go into oblivion” emphasizes on if. But the thing that they are surrounding them selfs with yes men’s is obvious imo.

Ask Mike Morhain himself.
Hint: He was 51 when stepping down from being CEO and 52 when leaving the company. That’s around the times male midlife crisis sinks in - I can assure you (from personal experience) that there is, resp. can be, quite the mood shift. So some guys divorce to play sugar daddy, others get a new job, some even get their first earring/tattoo at 50. Mike might have decided to “get back to the beginnings” with a company not as big as Activision Blizzard is today, with a more friendly and yes, maybe more creative working ideal. If it works out, he sooner or later might find himself back in the ocean, like this:

All the best to him, his wife and the companies. Maybe there will be games I’ll like to play when in retirement

Sounds like mid life crisis to me.
