Zeddy's video on the battlepass/new system and how streamers won't take a stand

Far beyond the point if you’re going to nitpick that part and ignore the rest might as well step aside.

Harsh or not it’s fair criticism and I don’t even watch zeddy and didnt know who he was until now.

Alot of “big” streamers arent speaking out against this because they will lose their free bundle codes…

Your ignorance is outstanding ! You’re doing a great job condescending people in this forum by the way. Keep going , you’re doing great  Zeddy is a great guy. He creates HS content not clickbaits. He’s speaking the truth because he cares for the game. If you think he’s doing that for money , you’re wrong. Checkout his twitch streams/tweets then talk. I’m proud to be part of Zeddy’s community.

Someone willing to risk it all to call out some truths. If only we had some politicians like this willing to risk their seats to stand up for what is right. Nice job here

Blizzards needs to fess up sooner rather than later. Admit they goofed and up the rewards or lessen the xp by a sizable margin so there is no question the new system is better. IF they dont a massive exodus could happen. PPL are really pissed as they should be about this. The worst thing you can do is lie to your base of customers while you take their money because it might be the last money you get from them not only in that one product but all your products.

Either Blizzard flat out lied to us or they are so incompetent they cant even figure out the rewards/time invested of their own system. Either is equally bad so they better tell us what the eff happened and fix it or I fear Hearthstone is going to suffer big losses in the coming quarters.

You guys want to see a shill ? You’re welcome :sunglasses:

It’s really sad that Zeddy has to be the bad guy and speak up for all the non-popular money-making people in this game aka your basic Hearthstone player.

All these streamers raking in the dough and just being quiet about it. I understand, but at the same time you are choosing money over being an honest person.

Hearthstone devs are going to do exactly what Zeddy is predicting. Probably going to announce something this week and make it look like they made a mistake when in reality, this is all intentional. They purposefully tried to screw over the playerbase by forcing people to spend money just to earn less gold they were earning before.

What a trash move. Hearthstone does NOT want you to watch that video. They want you to have the illusion that the reward track is better.

I think this showcase where people can be out of touch with the problems face by those actually affected.

e.g. where the calculations are concern, e.g. where he compared the 5hr commitment/reward - he missed that under the old system player could have reached the target in much less than 5 hrs. While the new system may seems great, the time commitment was not on par. (in theory)

Again, then intention is good, but the comprehensiveness of the analysis is narrow.

And this could be the same when Dev launch the BP. The connection with the player base needs to be accounted when new things are implemented.

IF you need an excel spreadsheet to figure out your own battlepass then maybe just maybe its a bit too complicated and cumbersome?

Yeah, it is so sad :frowning:

Not taking either side of the discussion here (yet), but Dean was speaking in plural.
So while you can prob. easily “figure out your own battle pass”, it’s getting complicated if you try to compute like 5 million active accounts and their respective playing habits.

Rarran also did a video not so many hours ago.

You can’t blame players for giving them the benefit of the doubt and assuming they would uphold their word when they straight up said that we would get as much gold. But I don’t think they will ever get again as must trust from the player base going forward after being so blatantly deceiving.

Kripp just tweeted too lmao.

I think people are just happy that someone who has an audience say something about this because as individual players we don’t have the audience reach to bring awareness about the issue.

blaming streamers for not taking part of the lynch mobs isnt really fair. most of the mob mentality so far is still based on speculation on assumptions where the mob gets more and more angry the more they confirm each others believes and assumptions. blizzard hasnt lied, but players made a ton of assumptions with the mentality “if blizzard doesnt say we are wrong, then its true” and when their assumptions were wrong the whole “blizzard lied” was born. dont get me wrong, im all for blaming blizzard when there is cause for it and the same is true for most streamers. but im not taking part of mobs raging based on their own incorrect assumptions.

this isnt about “fair or not fair” though…

streamers have the bigger voice usually, they just don’t voice themselves most of the time in a real way because they lose benefits that blizzard provide if they dare to speak…

I do not want to comment on streamers that remain silent atm. They can be in the process of evaluation and preparing their views on the matter. For those whom do a fair and comprehensive sharing, we should appreciate their efforts with some seemingly took some risks as well.

I also don’t want to debate on this too much, but they do have the responsibility on communication that should have prevented this drama in the 1st place.

Its the art of the deal.
You start with a very low offer and then after a while you raise it a bit and people will feel good about the new offer.
Make blizzard great again.

I do aplaud zeddy for speaking out but i dont hold it against the streamers who didnt. Its not their job to be a spokesman for the community and side with the community on any issue.
