When I launch Hearthstone, either on PC or mobile (iOS), I get a message that tells me “You were disconnected from your last game. Reconnecting.”
After a few moments, I get the “Closed: You were disconnected from the hearthstone game service.” screen. Its been like this for days.
It endlessly will do both of those error messages I listed, no matter how long I wait or how many times I try.

Hey, there! The “Reconnecting…” issue is an account level bug. I would try the steps from this post:
The support article here goes through some steps to try and the steps here can help with the issue:
Exit Hearthstone and the Blizzard Application.
Login and wait for 1 minute until the screen states “Attempting to reconnect.” It should then say “Could not reconnect.”
From there, start a Solo or Practice match and then concede.
Restart Hearthstone and it should be working again.
If the problem does continue, please contact our Customer Support team .

I was unable to even get past the “Closed: You were disconnected from the hearthstone game service.” There was no way I could start a new game, as I could not access that screen in the first place.
The solution that worked for me was to contact support and have them lock my account briefly, then unlock it.
Thanks for the update - for anybody else who sees this post, this is normally the fix if what Caterpepi posted does not fix the problem.
