Bots are needed in the game. They can be eaten.
I would like to dislike your comment…
Bots are not necessary. Wasting people’s time so someone can sell pre-leveled accounts for cash is not required. Defending such a practice only seems to weaken the validity of your feedback.
He’s a troll. Just ignore him.
How to ignore a poster? I only found mute option but it didnt remove his posts
Go to their profile and where it shows “normal” click and change to “ignored.” I don’t know if it hides their old stuff but it’ll hide anything new they post.
Unfortunately, you can only change them to “ignored” status, as Ginger said. It would be nicer if you could block them so their posts never showed up at all, but we currently don’t have that option.
The other option we have is to “flag” posts that are offensive. So you can flag anything that you feel is offensive.
There’s only normal and mute options for me in there. Cant find ignored. Now that guy made a second account to keep spamming
Sorry. I don’t know hiento make it appear. It’s always been there for me. Yeah, some people are morons. His inability to form coherent sentences is pretty obvious so I scroll past it.
totally possible,
some people just want to annoy other and watch the world burn.
proceed* to warrior, spam hero power and emote “i will crush you”.
edit :
yeah i found some people pretending to be bot at asia server for wild mode.
he emoted “my thanks” on my concede.
Yep, can never assume there is no human actually there.
Same reason we shouldn’t complain about winning in a way we don’t like. It’s not game breaking. If you are encountering AFK “bots” that often then I would suggest an aggro deck to WIN the matches quicker.
Seriously. I very rarely encounter them but when I do I’ll take the free win. To complain about it is just silliness.
Value your time more. A free win isn’t worth 10-ish minutes of your life. Plus a single report on an account isn’t going to get anyone banner, but if a bot is playing non-stop it will be apparent to a lot of people, and the bot will accrue Hundreds or Thousands of reports against it. That is how bot accounts are discovered and deleted.
The problem with botting is that it gives an obvious advantage to the botters. If botting is not regulated, it will become widespread and then honest players will be at a severe disadvantage.
It’s very unhealthy for the game to allow botting.
If it’s 10mins against an auto-win or 10-20mins against someone actually playing? I’ll take the guaranteed 10 mins. The things people complain about just boggles the mind.
They did a cost-benefit analysis on the bot problem and decided they would rather have bots than put the resources to combat it.
This is obvious because they didn’t put a report system in-game.
Putting an off-to-the-side report system reduces the reports from a ton to barely any. It’s partly a problem because they would have to sift through incorrect reports and actually investigate each claim to see if it is true or false.
It’s just not worth their time & money. It would be great if it was, but sometimes apathy is the most efficient method to deal with it.
- Apathy is a terrible response to any problem.
- The cost is a reasonable hinderance, but-
- The lack of a report system in game for a massive game such as this one is weird and should have been included at launch, because of course there are going to be hackers! If an account accrues enough reports against it it with a certain ratio of games played to reports given, the account should be auto-banned, and real players can submit a request to get their account back, but if someone has 50k reports against them then Blizzard will probably know someone’s up and keep the account banned.
you have acouple of free win and it bothers you ???
am I just trying to understand?
I value my time, and my win streak. I want to win, and not waste my time. I don’t have unlimited free time. A fake win that cost me a lot of time is worse than a genuine loss that didn’t waste my time.
how often does this happen to you? i play HS from beta every day and never see this…
The bots stick to ladder, which I don’t play regularly, but I see them often enough that I made this thread.
