Why are the pre-order bundles ending on 22nd?

When the expansion launches on 30th? Is it blizzards sneaky way to pressure ppl to pre-order the bundles before being able to see the theory crafts decks?

or the initial planed date was 23rd and they just havent updated the last date for pre-purchase yet? or maybe they have something else going live that date that they havent revealed yet? you dont have to automatically assume worst possible reddit scenario

If they want my money they better change the date. I’ll buy a pre-order if I can see the cards first. I won’t buy full priced packs.

my honest opinion is that it was initially planned to be released 23rd and that the guy(s) that updates shop info just havent updated the info yet as the date was just revealed to be later. there might ofc be something big on 22/23rd that hasnt been revealed yet that explains why the pre-purchase ends there aswell

I may be incorrect here, but in my mind this is in a way how pre-orders generally work. For instance, if I were to pre-order a Call of Duty I’d be doing so without having first seeing all of its features and without having played it. Isn’t this similar?

We always had up till release for HS(with all cards revealed) , but indeed they do work similar for a lot of other games like you mention .

Imo its simply an omission , no way are they gonna close down the pre purchase and possibly lose out on a ton of $ from the last minute pre orders !!! Im in that category , last minute except this time .

(I was lucky and had it gifted from a friend(whom im very thankful for , did not expect a random gift , cheered up my entire day lol)

Not similar, for call of duty I can see other ppl/streamers who have got early access (which are streamers in HS case for theory craft) play early, and I can read early reviews on the product before I would pre-order before the game releases, which all game preorders last till day of release.
Whereas stopping pre-orders over 1 week early of official expansion release date is weird.

In terms of HS, is it the norm for us to see the set before the pre-order ends? I cannot remember.

where does it say the last day for things in the shop?

it says in battlenet shop (which is also why its likely that it just havent been updated yet)

Blizzards fault that people think like this. They disappointed us so many times with content in the game and yet still are trying to figure out new ways to cut the amount of ingame-currency we can farm, for instance with the new EXP-system. They’ve earned this scepsis.

New XP gives more gold. Do the research.

Been playing HS for 5 years, and preorders always stop just before release. Even during massive changes such as when rotation was introduced, all cards revealed, ll streamers got early access and did theorycraft streams, ppl open packs up early in firesides then just before expansion releases, it stops.

Also @Ginger. It is only after the massive backlash from the community that the current system gives out more gold. The first iteration of the XP -system, it was proven by many it give way less gold than previous system, only then did they change it.

No, it doesn’t. For one level up = 50 gold. Currently daily quests give a maximum of around 1000 Exp. Before we had daily 60 or 80 gold quest, and the gold was obtained after doing the quest. Now I do the quest, get 1000 exp and still need to gather some more exp if I am below 1500 to finally get just 50 gold.

You don’t need to do research to understand that this is fewer than before.

this is actually incorrect, but 95% of players dont care to do any research themselves. the xp is actually the same now as when the system was released, they just moved the event xp into the reward track instead as players didnt have the patience to wait for the events rewarding xp

your lack of research is exactly the issue. if you do the math or check calculations from those who have actually done the math and you will get a different result. a PhD grandmaster did the math and he got a completely different result in your claim, and he even did calculations for several scenarios

Bro, 50-70 gold guaranteed for accomplishing a quest is more than maybe gaining always only 50 gold after accomplishing a quest. you don’t need a PhD grandmaster nor research to understand basic math.

And I am NOT EVEN taking the extra 10 gold for 3 wins into account. With them, the current system looks even worser.

then please show us this conclusive simple math that without a doubt proofs you are right, because we are apparently dummies so you would need to educate us

You’re the only one so don’t try to make your opinion bigger by talking for “us” or using “we” instead of “I”.

Furthermore I’ve just did the math for you in the post you responded to.

If I play 3 games and get 70 gold + 10 gold for winning them, that’s 80 gold for 3 games.

If I play 3 games with the new system, I get ~900 exp, that either leaves me with nothing, or if I am lucky and hit the next level, with 50 gold.

Do I need to explain to you why 80 is a higher number than 50, or where’s your problem in understanding why one system is superior to the other one?

I found this article which seems to agree with you:

https://blizzardwatch.com/2021/02/20/hearthstone-reward-track-frequency/

thank you for proving why you are wrong. you have missed the small important detail of getting xp for simply playing for starters which will add up to alot of xp.

if you want to check a PhD do the math, then check out https://www.twitlonger.com/show/n_1srg57g
do note that this math was before the changes so the current system is even more favorable than this math shows.
