What other card games are players moving to?

Hello, like many others, I am moving on from this game. Is there a game that has less RNG and luck?

Something that has a strategy, more than 2-3 viable decks, and less child-casino using parent wallet vibes?

Legends of Runeterra
?

Careful though the Flag Police might come and claim this post is vandalism.

I’ve heard a lot of good things about Marvel Snap, but haven’t tried it myself yet. It does seem to be Hearthstone’s #1 competitor at the moment and likely decreasing sales in the Hearthstone shop.

“moving to”?

nope im not moving to
i play more than one game

I think most of us do, but our time is finite, so choosing which games to spend time on is a serious question. Which other games do you enjoy Boreas?

in case of card games runeterra and HS (got a little pissed off when found out they removed expeditions a while ago without giving epic capsusles for all the tokens i had so stopped playing it for months ) i m thinking on trying it again

used to play shadowverse but got bored of it years ago

tried mtg arena but is hard to keep up with it (talking about collection)

runeterra and HS are easier to play at the same time i just alt tab

im thinking on trying dual force eventually

I kinda felt the same way. I enjoyed the game but didn’t feel like i could make any competitive decks

I like Yu Gi Oh (like in real life)

because you’re a shill

I know it is not a card game, but try chess if you hate RNG and want a game with 100% skill. In addition to that, it is F2P.

?
thats how people call having fun playing HS?

I’ve tried a lot of card games, but I have to admit that Hearthstone is the one I find the most fun (randomness is fun), which is why I think Blizzard sucks but still play Hearthstone

It gets very stale very fast. The monetization is bad. It is super grindy and formulaic.

Game lacks any depth.

I tried Runeterra a couple years ago, but I hated the graphics and stopped. Gameplay was okay, but I did not stick around long enough to really experience it.

I actually tried Marvel Snap yesterday. Only played like 3 or 4 games but I am not seeing the appeal myself

and dual force ? havent tried that one yet

Never even heard of it.

Don’t try dual force.

I tried it and the game was so buggy that I couldn’t even complete a tutorial game, the game has too many problems to be worth even considering, trust.

well the game was released around 3 months ago and the only reason i know its name is because it uses dc comics characters

I am constantly on the lookout for a satisfactory replacement for Hearthstone, but I have yet to find one.

For me, Marvel Snap, Legends of Runeterra, Eternal, Shadowverse, Faeria, The Elder Scrolls: Legends, and Gwent all fell very short, which is why I am still here playing Hearthstone, despite Hearthstone’s issues of powercreep, broken cards, bad RNG, and a plethora of non-interactive decks.

Marvel Snap held my attention longer than most the other card games, but this was my conclusion about the game:

MTG Arena is likely the best quality alternative card game to HS, but I am not willing to invest the kind of money it would take to be competitive into a digital card game with no chance of selling off my cards should I lose interest, like what could be done with a physical CCG.

I have never liked Yu-Gi-Oh as a a physical CCG, so I have never tried Yu-Gi-Oh: Master Duel. Another card game that I have not tried is Card City Nights 2—so I cannot review the game.

Here is an article listing the most popular alternatives to Hearthstone:

I checked out Warcraft Rumble to get the card back, and for me the game had even less appeal than Hearthstone’s Mercenaries mode.

Considering that there does not seem to be any good card game alternatives to Hearthstone, it’s in Blizzard’s interest to revamp and fix HS while rebuilding its player base.

It’s not so much an issue of time as an issue of having a negative experience with hearthstone, and wondering if there’s any way to salvage some of the good aspects without the trash ones.
