We need to be loud about runestones

ill get it with gold you want to do it with runestones thats your choice

2000 gold isnt that much for the cards you get i dont need it to be golden

Again, read properly - all upcoming minisets will be runestones only - you can’t get them with gold anymore, neither rm…
You don’t have to reply anymore - I’m tired of repeating myself, just scroll up next time and read pls - it’s not so hard to understand…

tired of lying yet ? because that istn what they announced

you are the only one who says that

so unless you have a source for your claim you are lying

I can’t wait to see what Heartstone’s active player count looks like after this. Is Microsoft smart enough to look at the sudden influx of money from things like Diablo Immortal but realize they have destroyed their loyal player base because of it?

Damn i wish i could like this comment infinte amount of time

No, I don’t think you are.

So what?

For anyone who’s curious:

The fine print on any announcement (though not always given to us plebs) is:

Forward-Looking Statements
This letter contains certain forward-looking statements within the meaning of the “safe harbor” provisions of the United States Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995 with respect to the proposed transaction and business combination between Microsoft Corporation (“Microsoft”) and Activision Blizzard, Inc. (“Activision Blizzard”), including statements regarding the benefits of the transaction, the anticipated timing of the transaction and the products and markets of each company. These forward-looking statements generally are identified by the words “believe,” “project,” “predicts,” “budget,” “forecast,” “continue,” “expect,” “anticipate,” “estimate,” “intend,” “strategy,” “future,” “opportunity,” “plan,” “may,” “could,” “should,” “will,” “would,” “will be,” “will continue,” “will likely result,” and similar expressions (or the negative versions of such words or expressions). Forward-looking statements are predictions, projections and other statements about future events that are based on current expectations and assumptions and, as a result, are subject to risks and uncertainties. Many factors could cause actual future events to differ materially from the forward-looking statements in this presentation, including but not limited to: (i) the risk that the transaction may not be completed in a timely manner or at all, which may adversely affect Activision Blizzard’s business and the price of the common stock of Activision Blizzard, (ii) the failure to satisfy the conditions to the consummation of the transaction, including the adoption of the merger agreement by the stockholders of Activision Blizzard and the receipt of certain governmental and regulatory approvals, (iii) the occurrence of any event, change or other circumstance that could give rise to the termination of the merger agreement, (iv) the effect of the announcement or pendency of the transaction on Activision Blizzard’s business relationships, operating results, and business generally, (v) risks that the proposed transaction disrupts current plans and operations of Activision Blizzard or Microsoft and potential difficulties in Activision Blizzard employee retention as a result of the transaction, (vi) risks related to diverting management’s attention from Activision Blizzard’s ongoing business operations, (vii) the outcome of any legal proceedings that may be instituted against us or against Activision Blizzard related to the merger agreement or the transaction, (viii) the ability of Microsoft to successfully integrate Activision Blizzard’s operations, product lines, and technology, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Activision Blizzard’s business and general economic conditions, (ix) restrictions during the pendency of the proposed transaction that may impact Activision Blizzard’s ability to pursue certain business opportunities or strategic transactions and (x) the ability of Microsoft to implement its plans, forecasts, and other expectations with respect to Activision Blizzard’s business after the completion of the proposed merger and realize additional opportunities for growth and innovation. In addition, please refer to the documents that Microsoft and Activision Blizzard file with the Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”) on Forms 10-K, 10-Q and 8-K. These filings identify and address other important risks and uncertainties that could cause events and results to differ materially from those contained in the forward-looking statements set forth in this presentation. Forward-looking statements speak only as of the date they are made. Readers are cautioned not to put undue reliance on forward-looking statements, and Microsoft and Activision Blizzard assume no obligation and do not intend to update or revise these forward-looking statements, whether as a result of new information, future events, or otherwise.

The TLDR is they are free to change their minds at any point, and their announcements are not meant to be definitive statements of what will happen in the future, and should not be taken as such.

The short term gain does not offset the long term loss of customers. Something they never seem to get. Basically, it’s like setting your house, then car on fire because you want to get warm…only later realizing there were better ways to get heat, and only then realizing you have nowhere to live and nothing to drive. And just before you did this, you drove away everyone you knew, and no one will let you crash on their couch.

if you dont like rune stone just got F2P, buying cards gives literalt 0 adavantage, according to the forums at least.

I am so disappointed runestones + extra champ choice slots are unable to be earned via playing. Its a blatant money grab. In a long, long list of money grabs to be sure, but it just seems excessively punitive.
You are punishing players that want to be able to progress their battlegrounds to be on par with pay-to-win players. It is a strict nerf to those of us who cannot afford stuff like this.
Until the extra battleground choices are somehow earnable, I will uninstall. Feels pretty bad but its the only negative metric I can give them.

U spel gud

gewd enuf 4 ur mum…

I already uninstalled the game, both on Android and PC. I’m fed up with it.

I wanna focus on you for a second. I came here a few days ago to make like my third post in twelve years and I saw you comment on almost every post about this. And I noticed a huge difference between the majority of comments against the changes versus yours. Nobody seems to agree with you at all. Yet you keep coming in full force as if it’s this universal truth that runestones are awesome and nobody should be complaining. It’s like you were sent to dispel the complaints everyone has. But I find it hard to believe they’d pay you when you seem perfectly willing to do it for free. But like, why?

Why do you defend this soulless corporation that doesn’t care about you nor know who you are? Do you have a vested interest in their profit? Are you like a major stock holder? Like, why are you so aggressively combative to people that are angry about a change that - so obviously - is just a money grab that offers no player benefit? Why do you make excuses on behalf of blizzard? Are you a spokesperson or something? Pretty weird to have like 10k posts like this on a forum unless you’re an employee. You clearly devote a lot of time to the forum and you’re kind of doing their PR work for free, lol

Like, really, help me out, help me understand- why is it so important to you that people should accept the changes? You spend so much time and energy replying to - seemingly everyone - who’s made a post or a comment about it.

WHY DO YOU CARE SO HARD

If you want to really wonder, take a look at every other issue people have been vocal about on the forums. Your confusion will only deepen…exponentially.

i dont like when people troll by making stuff up like that guy who said it was announced the mini set will be with runestone only just to provoke other posters who didnt bother reading the announcement

others are saying stuff like all the prices increased as if building a card collection costs mor now
knowing the bundles allow us to get the pre order bundles and the tavern pass for the same price

ive seen people list the pros and cons of many other games in this forum for years with similar currencies and never complained about it or listed it as a “con” and now when they decide to “catch up” and start doing something other card games been doing for years , suddenly out of nowhere they hate that currency

but only on HS

and now ive seen someone telling us hell stop playing HS because they added runestonesnot because BG perks became runestone only he made it clear it was because they added runestones …and going to play MTG arena or another game with a similar currency i found that so ridiculous

like people who claim people who don’t play hearthstone have gold from the game…you know, those kind of
