Tyrande, oh where oh where: Cont'd

Or (and here’s a crazy idea) just ignore Bobafett. It’s not like they do a lot of random thread bumping. If people stop engaging, they’ll stop posting. Plenty of people interested in the portrait to randomly bump the thread every couple of days.

Or try mass reporting them, I guess. But then you’re just as likely to get the thread shut down as you are to “stop the spam.”

It’s not sanity to defend the trolling and coc violating behavior going on in this thread.

Abusing the report feature and harassing, along with trying to intimidate people into not posting who aren’t breaking the rules for the thread or the coc (your little brigading threat) are also violations of the coc. But sure, keep doing the work of the trolls for them.

You are not an employee of team 5, actiblizz, or a representative of this company, and your repeated attempts to pass yourself as one are not only a violation of the forums coc:

Impersonating a Blizzard Employee

This category includes:

Passing yourself off as a Blizzard employee to post false information

If a player is found to have participated in such actions, he/she will:

Be given a final warning, after which any further Code of Conduct violations may result in a permanent ban from the forums

Source: https://us.battle.net/forums/en/code-of-conduct/#blizzard-employee

Additionally, this is fraud. An illegal activity in most locations around the world. Also a violation of the coc:

Illegal Drugs or Activities

This category includes both clear and masked language and/or links to websites containing such language or images which:

Reference to abusing illegal drugs
Reference to performing illegal activities

If a player is found to have participated in such actions, he/she will:

Be given a temporary ban from the forums, depending upon severity

Source: https://us.battle.net/forums/en/code-of-conduct/#drugs

You have repeatedly passed yourself off as a team 5/actiblizz employee to post false and misleading information about this subject, to directly contradict the information provided at the official Q&A by the devs for this game. Now, you continue this pattern by calling yourself “instructor” and handing out grades to people who support your campaign of fraud and disinformation, in clear violation of the coc and established rules for this thread.

Ow c’mon, I just thought everyone here is arguing and not focusing on what this thread is about :frowning: I’m no instructor but by no means I was intended to harm anybody anyways! What about that?

Clearly a joke because of the thinking emoji. But please keep spamming the same comment about people pretending to be Blizzard employees, which hkq never did. And the only one trolling here is you.

Considering he actually has removed/edited his posts more than once and apologized for that behavior at least once, you’re not really qualified to say what’s going on in his head (unless you tipped your hand about who owns the account you’re posting on). And before you go “aha, neither are you!” I never once claimed to say what was going on in his head, I’m quoting his posts (which are available in their original format in the quotes) where he makes those claims himself.

Saying “I’m joking” or using characters doesn’t give someone a free pass for breaking the rules.

Once again, gaslighting for the trolls.

Accuse others of the very thing you are doing. Posting the coc, linking people the actual devs’ text and countering the lies and misinformation of people who habitually violate the coc and rules for this thread is not trolling.

But keep posting the same lies, maybe your fraudulent “instructor” will give you a passing grade before he gets actioned for impersonating a mod (since they are the only ones with any real authority to evaluate posts around here).

raises hand I can answer this! It is because I’m taking care of people whose first language is not English! People who don’t get the joke will consider me as trolling! How about that?

Sir actually deserves a nobel peace prize (which I assume they haven’t announced yet). If I were given a chance to nominate one, this has to go to our beloved Bobafett sir!

Harassing or Defamatory

This category includes both clear and masked language and/or links to websites containing such language or images which:

Insultingly refer to other characters, players, Blizzard employees, or groups of people
Result in ongoing harassment to other characters, players, Blizzard employees, or groups of people

If a player is found to have participated in such actions, he/she will:

Be given a temporary ban from the forums, depending upon severity

Harassment takes many forms, and is not necessarily limited to the type of language used, but the intent. Repeatedly targeting a specific player with harassment can lead to more severe action. The idea behind this is to prevent any one player from consistently being uncomfortable in the forums.

Spamming or Trolling

This category includes:

Creating threads for the sole purpose of causing unrest on the forums
Causing disturbances in forum threads, such as picking fights, making off topic posts that ruin the thread, insulting other posters
Making non-constructive posts

Disclaimer: I’m not going to include quotes in case Sir. Bobafett The Great accuses me for violating this very CoC I mentioned in this post.

Not going to comment/like this because I’m afraid that he is going to ban all of us if we do so! :confounded::confounded::confounded:

Nice try, but you should actually try reading what you post:

“•Creating posts or threads to discuss disciplinary actions taken against a player, including chat logs and email correspondence between a player and a Game Master (GM)
•Creating posts or threads to discuss disciplinary actions taken against a character or account on the forums”

As far as I’m aware, that hasn’t taken place. In fact, I’ve frequently lamented the lack of moderator action here against those who are trolling the thread, especially those who are making false and misleading claims that contradict team 5/actiblizz. No one has posted anything about any of those alleged actions (hard to post about something people have no knowledge of). So once again, you are making another fraudulent post.

See previous coc rule about that.

And right back to trolling. You should have notived this, because it was a couple below the “disciplinary” link you provided:

IMPORTANT

> Repeatedly violating any area of the Blizzard Terms of Use or Forum Code of Conduct, including the areas detailed above, will often result in permanent banishment from the forums.
This policy is not language-restrictive. Language that falls under this policy will always be subject to the repercussions listed, whether it is inappropriate in English or any other language.

You keep using “oops non English speaker!” as an excuse to troll, harass, and your repeated violations of the coc and specific rules for this thread. It isn’t an excuse, the rules still apply, and you seem to have no trouble communicating…up to the point you cross a line. It’s a disservice to people who actually have language barrier issues to try and use it as a shield for your continued breaking of the coc and the specific rules for this thread.

People, hear me! Regardless of whether I support Tyrande’s return or not, did I keep repeating that others are violating coc and the rules of the thread? Did I call people “scammers”, “frauds”, “phishermen”?

I was sure that from the very moment of me establishing this thread, I specifically didn’t choose the exact name because of the concerns that people would accuse others for ridiculous reasons. I don’t support Tyrande’s return and as the owner of the thread, I have the right to advocate my ideology to everyone and hopefully people would accept it.

You don’t like it, you argue/leave. Instead of wasting nearly 100 posts to point out so called coc violations. People who support Tyrande’s return, why don’t you guys create a new thread, make a new timeline and state the rules of that thread?

Speaking of that timeline: In fact, I kept a copy of it when I deleted it, just to keep it as one of my memories. I wouldn’t put it on this thread anymore nor should I release it. If you guys want to have a new thread running, do it by yourselves: do some research, learn some html formatting, it’s not hard.

In other words, a lot of nothing and a whole bunch of spam, including this little gem:

Which translates to

“They will soon know that our bullets are for our own generals!”*

Good to know you’re still holding to that pattern of threats when trolling won’t work.

Along with:

No, you don’t have the right to violate coc, and break the specific rules for this thread, as established by the blues in the last version of it. You didn’t create 2.0 to argue against bringing Tyrande back and to now claim otherwise is another one of your lies. By carrying over the second version of the original thread, the rules the blue established for it still stand here.

And then we move to your latest gem:

Another clear violation of the coc and established rules of this thread. You, for whatever reason oppose Tyrande coming back, that’s fine. What’s not fine is trolling everyone with false information, claiming to speak for team 5/actiblizz, and the ongoing breaking of the coc and the rules established for this thread. Then telling people to leave as if this is your thread. It isn’t yours, it’s the designated Tyrande thread, as established by the blues in the last version of the forums, carried over to here.

If you don’t like the coc and the rules for this thread, that’s on you and only you.

I tell someone to stop arguing and that apparently makes me a troll. So silly

Implying that the threads are Blizzard owned? Well kind of. But I wouldn’t say I lost total control over it. It’s merely an inheritance of it. I was inheriting the discussions, not the rules. Everyone advocate for discussions, not a complete mess as if it’s a debate in the house of commons.

You prohibited me for posting my thoughts on this threads, based on the impression that this thread is a mimicry. And to say that I’m advocating erroneous messages, speaking as a Blizzard employee? Did anyone here, besides this gentlemen who is arguing with me, actually think I’m disguising as an employee? Mods do exist. They exist for a reason.

Why don’t you create a new thread? With your supervision and surveillance, it’d surely run better than this. I’m not interfering you. Go ahead! Why are you still sticking here? If you don’t, many others can do it! Arguing with someone who created this thread about the thread-specific rules surely is fun and interactive.

Again, what’s the whole point of staying here if you are completely against me? You are allowed to make threads. You can have a marvelous new thread that everyone would hold their discussions there, and this thread will simply be forgot.

And to point out that it is no better than “me” that people keep picking others about violations against the coc. Which is surely an embodiment of this thread in recent months.

By the way, that was just a nice little song that many people loved to listen to when they were young.

Your access to these forums is a “privilege,” and not a “right.” Blizzard Entertainment reserves the right to suspend your access to these forums at any time for reasons that include, but are not necessarily limited to, your failure to abide by these guidelines.

Appeals to popularity or a vote on the rules don’t work on something you don’t own. The forums, the threads, etc are all blizzards. You agreed to play by their rules the minute you made an account and started posting. If you didn’t understand the rules, you should agree to the contract.

Again, fraud. The only time I pointed out an issue when you were violating the coc and violating the specific rules for this thread. Now of course, playing the victim when calling everyone names, repeatedly berating them for their “delusions,” “illusions,” etc for simply wanting Tyrande back is conviently forgetten…and now you’re an oppressed victim who wasn’t trolling and harassing the thread, you’re “just posting [your] thoughts.”

Violating the coc and breaking the rules for the thread are the rules established by the people who own the threads. You don’t like the forum rules…you should make a thread about changing them. Though petitioning to get a free pass to troll and harass people will probably go over about as well as asking to impersonate the devs would.

Yes, they do. Their failure to act shouldn’t been seen as a blessing upon your acts. I pointed out once people started trolling that we’d hit a point like this: that the trolls would reach a point where they felt they could break the rules with impunity, and now we have one brazenly telling people to get off “their thread!”

For someone who keeps claiming to not be an employee, you keep having this odd notion of who can and can’t be in this thread you keep saying is “yours.” unless you are the majority owner of actiblizz, you don’t own this thread, and you are once again claiming to be something you aren’t: someone in an official capacity at the company.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: someone has to post the truth to counter the outright lies, fraudulent messages and other posts you have made counters the official posts given by the devs on the Q&A threads. I’m sure you’d love to be able to spread misinformation unopposed, and to try and turn the semi official Tyrande thread into your echo chamber of misinformation. Not. Going. To. Happen.

So, I’ll be right here, until Tyrande returns and the thread has served its purpose or the game shuts down and doing my part to get it on the front page (thanks again for all the bumps!). I’d rather be discussing Tyrande, but if it requires posting the coc and reminding people about the rules for this thread until the mods return from whatever pocket dimension they disappeared to…then so be it.

No one is being “picked on” when it’s being pointed out the coc is being violated. Next you’ll be saying that if we point out someone is shoplifting, we’re picking on that poor innocent person who was just trying to leave the store without paying for those items.

/facepalm

Just a small anecdote before this thread is gone: when I created this thread on the forums, I thought it’d be nice if the thread has an image on this, preferably a gif. However, based on past experiences in OW and WoW forums I knew that I needed to reach level 3 in order to post it.

It takes about 2 months to reach 20k post read and at that time, there wasn’t enough thread for me to read. So I decided to find an alternative way to post a picture: anyone remember the old jaina portrait thread? The owner used a reddit link to post the image that’s shown on reddit, and it was readily available for non-level 3 users.

I managed to post Tyrande’s portrait on this thread sometime in March, and it was from an legacy reddit post. However, it just didn’t look good and the quality of it was debatable. So I realized I needed to create a temporary thread on reddit with an image of Tyrande, then post the link here in order to get the image to work.

It took me about a week to figure out the suitable size of the reddit image in order for it to fit into this forum’s post, not to mention the subreddit to post in, the format, thread title, web link compatibility, image compression…(I had severe OCD back then). Meanwhile, I continue to read posts and patiently wait until I can actually post a gif. (I tried to post gifs with reddit, but it was too large and the compression wasn’t worth it, also old reddit was so hard to use :frowning: )

I remember I tried my best to search the web in order to find the best fitting image for this thread, including fanarts, artist illustrations, official portraits… I decided to pick the one that was used on the premiere Tyrande release - the twitch promotion gif. It was elegant - just perfect and suitable for a thread. This was back in May.

I put it on, and damn, it did look good.

I know that this was all trivial for a small thread like this, but before I depart and a new thread rises from the ruins: for those who sincerely wanted/wants Tyrande, I hope you keep our good works up. Just some of my afterthoughts.

For those worried that he’s going to do the ultimate troll move and delete the thread like he did with all the useful information from the op (that he replaced with all the anti Tyrande info). Don’t worry. One of the new features prevents people from deleting threads after a certain period of time.

So, while all the grand talk of “ruins” and whatnot is to try and drive/chase/scare people off, or to try and get the thread locked…he can’t actually get rid of the thread. Only the real mods can do that. And since they’ll see that the pattern of trolling, etc has been going on for a considerable amount of time, hopefully they’ll see, especially with all the posts like the ones made above, that they’ll not give the trolls the one thing they’ve been after since they went active: the end of this thread.

One more thing for the mods to deal with: fixing the thread title.

And more proof that trolling and harassing going on: trying to shut down what has been designated the semi official thread for this topic: discussing the return of the Tyrande hero skin.

Though, anyone should know: telling people not to look has the opposite effect. Like if I just told you: don’t think about Tyrande. Guess what just happened, most of you just did.
