Tyrande, oh where oh where: Cont'd

Well, that was almost impossible to discern from his comment. “New heroes” has always been discussed as alternate hero skins. This is the first I’ve ever heard it used to describe new playable classes (and I’ve heard those discussions too).

Unfortunately, death knights as a class are impossible because they got played out as replacement cards in frozen throne. So, they would have to revamp that to make it workable. Not impossible, considering they have a ton of new hero skins, plus the alternates they never touched when they came up with the base ones. New cards, plus a new class slot to make it workable…but I think it would require expanding the deck slots as well (no matter if they add one or more classes).

That leaves monk and demon hunter. Both have interesting options, but I don’t want to pull the thread too far off course by going into them.

On topic: anyone have the original timeline that got deleted? Since the mods are bound and determined to ignore this thread and what goes on here, I doubt we could get them to restore it, so we are on our own in that regard in one of our own posts.

They already destroyed their credibility, I’m not entirely sure why anyone would think they still have any sort of credibility. They deliver fake promises to keep fans complacent for a bit.

A vague promise delivered on a third party interview is very different than something with a very specific time table given by one of their devs on an official Q&A on their main site.

It’s not something they can come back from, unlike the last one. I’m not saying I trust them completely, I’m simply pointing out they are basically all in at this point…even with their “forward looking statement” crap posted on the main actiblizz page.

I hope we get the Tyrande cardback too

I hope you’re joking. It’s still a promise with a time frame (Year of the Mammoth), yes not on a usual site for an interview but the fact remains the same. We got a promise from someone working on the game and that promise wasn’t met. That’s essentially saying that because it wasn’t on some super main stream site or the forums that what they said doesn’t “count” and they get a free pass.

I’m not, and if you check the old thread I’ve been one of the more vocal critics for them giving that lame of an excuse for it. Like you, I’ve said frequently and loudly it was a promise given, even if it was a very open ended one with no real time frame given for it (a hearthstone year is a really long time).

Contrast that “the end of this year.” As I said before on this thread, even if they try and weasel out of 2019 by “hearthstone year,” they only bought themselves a few more months. Then they completely destroy any and all credibility they had.

It’s not the first time they haven’t been upfront about something (I used “the art of hearthstone” as another example) and how convenient they are about making facts disappear (like basic information about book publishing and distribution), but doing nothing about posts here that clearly violate coc.

You’ll never catch me white knighting for actiblizz, or giving them a free pass…but I won’t pretend that the woo promise and what we have now hold the same weight in terms of exposure and the consequences for not keeping it. Yes, the first was a promise broken…but now we have something delivered to a much wider audience, and on their main site.

Why are you dragging me into your a-holeness?

this page must be on the main page. up up.

Personally I hope they have Year of the Kraken card back available again, I missed it because I was a dumb dumb and thought I had already completed my ranked games before I left for travel and came back sadface.
What they did with the Rag cardback gives me hope but I feel that they can do even more and greater things.
Maybe even a new basic game mode that’s consistently available. I really hope the best for this game, I would love for it to be heirloom-esque. Legacy item or not

Please bring back Tyrande I would happily spend money on her. I missed her when she came out and she is my favorite Warcraft character, also I don’t like the normal Priest character very much.

Iv suggested it before, and ill do it again. The easiest thing for blizzard would be to release another Tyrande, in a different style. Should please both sides of this.

If Blizzard releases Tyrande in a new style she will probably be all covered-up, this is the new trend for Blizzard.

And that would upset you i presume?

I just really want Tyrande lmao. Played hearthstone years ago and gave up but now im really starting to get into it just to find out my favorite Warcraft skin isn’t available anymore. And I’ve had twitch prime forever and just never claimed it like a dum dum because I didn’t like the game that much at the time. I’m willing to pay

Me too and I’d be willing to pay as well. Would be awesome if all past heroes were available.

Good luck to finding what y’all seek. Hearthstone was a neat side game for me I coud play anywhere and muse every my shiny collection for a time.

If you like customization and better options do getting them, I’d suggest trying MTG Arena while waiting for Tyrande and hardback to come.

There’s an array of characters to play as, lots of custom card sleeves, and you can even customize which card goes on the deck box (though that one doesn’t show up to opponents). And you can have up to 30 decks, well past the HS limit.

Anyways I love Blizzard games and will definitely play some today. No hater here, and I wont knock HS for what it has, but it doesn’t really suit my play style anymore.

Good luck!

I’m not one to tell people not to try other games if Hearthstone is not their cup of tea, but I feel like you might be underselling some of the more critical gameplay differences between Hearthstone and MTG:A. If someone goes into MTG:A hoping for “Hearthstone with better customization” they might be in for a rough surprise.

True. Learning MTG even after having rookie experience in it 5 years ago, has been a steep challenge. I don’t want to droll on about MTG Arena though in favor of a shorter, more concise post.

There are so many cards, so much card text to read and understand, but I love the complexity and greater control you have during an opponents turn. The vastness of abilities and spells is very alluring.

I’ve dedicating myself to reading all cards I unpack, and there are at least 350 more cards heading my way next week.
