Yes sure the game is rigged. The single person with unsupported anecdotal data is way more accurate than the millions of data points from deck trackers from the data sites. Somehow those millions are all in on it so their data is not accurate.

What are supposed to believe the “It’s rigged” club again?

I have not once seen 20 of the same deck in a row. lol Are you nuts? Decktracker should prove you right if this insanity actually happens.

I have…

After I chop up and cherry pick which matches I count as a deck I faced consecutively. IE played 100 games in a row with 20 of those games vs the same deck becomes I played 20 games in a row all vs the same deck.

So if you’re not a simpleton… u could do an ez search and find out the term “conspiracy theorist” is an ad hom.

Created to attack people asking 2 many questions about the JFK assassination.

Its used primarily to shame people into silence by calling them names.

So when you use the words you out yourself pretty handily as naive.

Or are you using the words to shame people so they will go away…

Much like the continuous use of the word “racist” to shame people noticing they are being genocided.

I am being 100% honest, I just beat a dude at D8 playing all core cards… how does that happen? They were all golden too. A quest at D8? didn’t care?

BOTS!??

Algorithm confirmed.

No clue. I am messing around with a meme DH running outcast and relics, still beating people (grant it, I am only at high gold (I need to seriously climb :pensive:)). Maybe it’s that they don’t know what the hell they’re dealing with?

That’s insane.

If two people debate whether my smartphone can send emails, it’s not something that can’t be settled. It’s not both.

Even for a person claiming they prefer vanilla over chocolate, there’s ways to test whether they actually prefer vanilla. They could be lying.

When American politicians debate each other there’s this thing called fact checking. The politician claiming a political affiliation to an established party in no way means they won’t lie to constituents, right to their face.

Hell, there’s always the possibility they’re in disagreement, arguing about something, and they’re both wrong. Or both lying. Specially in USA.

Oh sure, because politicians in the USA never lie or spread misinformation, they’re always truthful and have the people’s best interests at heart.

You can’t sarcastically agree to the opposite of what a person writes.

Well, you know what they say: “Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit, but the highest form of philosophy…said no one ever.”

The only thing rigged is that worse players will win less and face more of the alleged “rigging”. The reason is simple if you play sub optimally and give your opponent extra turn they have more chances to get the miracle outs and get the feels “rigged” comebacks. The game doesn’t favor one outcome over the other.

Also another thing that is probably contributing to the “rigged” feeling is that people go in with cobbled together incomplete decks and face fully fleshed out meta decks and that not the matchmakers fault it simply a product of queuing into constructed format. It happens in real life paper games too. When I started playing paper Magic I would play against people in my shop playing since Alpha using Vintage decks with my Standard deck and die turn 1. Even if I player against other Standard decks mine were budget version of card I happened to open vs full meta decks. The same kind of thing happens in Hearthstone. Games would feel “rigged” simply because of the disparity of card quality. When the fully flesh out meta deck constantly get 2+ for 1 that would make people call “rigged” but that not what rigged means. That’s what people on the other side are trying to say the “It’s rigged” club “rigged” is not what rigged actually means.

The game is unfair to people that don’t have all the cards but that’s a product of playing constructed formats in a card game. Blizzard did their part to make it more fair by how you now gain gold. It used to be you could only complete quests by winning and only from winning 3 games on ladder. Now you can complete quests by playing game or doing other objectives like play x type of card y times and you get gold base on experience which you gain from time played. The system doesn’t care which side wins in any given match. It has no incentive to favor one side over the other as both sides would gain gold to increase their collections.

Exactly. Was a long time MTG player who did some FNMs. People brought absurdly powerful decks for whatever meta regularly. Me not being rich got my face kicked in lol. Netdecking is just the reality of any DCCG or CCG. It’d be nice if our pet decks didn’t blow but only so many cards are gonna wind up viable in any set.

That’s why I think the original Jumpstart was one of the best things they ever did.

But WOTC screwed that pooch.
