The new forum's layout is too confusing

I mean, it probably has more functions but I can’t just take a quick look at a thread and understand what’s going on.

For example: strange icons everywhere without a single explanation (it should show a description when I hover my mouse on). Or what does the vertical bar on the right (with date) mean?

And where is my downvote function? Which is the heart and soul of the previous forum? Trolls and ignorants would roam this board freely without this check and balance tool.

Another thing is those smiling faces, *vomit, every post would be filled with these meaningless teen language: :grinning::heart_eyes::smiling_face_with_three_hearts::rofl::kissing_smiling_eyes::roll_eyes::drooling_face::open_mouth::disappointed_relieved::sweat::worried:

Why don’t just keep the layout simple like the old version (or the one used by gamefaqs and reddit - aka, text oriented)? This discord thing might look prettier on paper, but it scored zero in term of function and readability.

I agree that the new forums are sub-par.

Even though the downvote function accomplished precisely nothing, it made me feel better to be able to just click downvote when someone said something so moronic as to be intolerable. Now, I’m more tempted than before to actually reply with something obnoxious, making the recipient of the obnoxious comment more likely to reply in kind, kindling a spiffy flame war, while simultaneously making my karma worse for being mean to some fool.

I’m not having the issues you are. But I’m also mobile only.

For me its 100% better and way faster.

It wouldn’t be Hearthstone without Pointless changes nobody asked for, coupled with a diligent refusal to actually acknowledge things that are wrong and appear to be driving players away based on plaintive Twitter pleas

One peeve: when I tried to upvote too many people, it said “Thanks for sharing the love! You only have a few more (likes? Upvotes?) left today!”

Its called Discourse and it is much more mobile friendly. The layout is simple and I’ve been responding to posts all morning: I have yet to see this “teen language.”

As for downvotes, there is a pinned post by WyomingMyst that explains the entire layout for you.

While not remotely confusing, I do find the lack of dedicated space for discussion of Tavern Brawl and Arena a massive blunder. Everything now is going to run together and get buried far too fast to follow.

The new forum design are meant to function better for phones.

I do, It has a plastic cord attaching the head piece to the receiver and has metal ring you have to turn for the number you want to input, it make a fun clink clack sound when it reverts to its original position.

I like how the previous forums are now the “good old forums”. Can you imagine we once had CLASS-specific forums, or General discussion, before the “good old forums” redesign came around and effed things up the first time? :slight_smile:
