You just put a band-aid on a compound fracture.
Is replacing the insulting old pack rewards at the end of the track a good thing? Sure it is. Is it nice that we’re getting more exp during events? Uh, sure. Wish we had some real numbers, but okay.
But neither of those “solutions” address the fundamental problem with the system. We’re still getting barely any reward for actually playing the damn game. The problem is still there, out in the open. Unless that’s addressed, anything else you do is pointless. You can say that you want us earning more gold. But it’s almost impossible to believe you at this point. You’ve lost the benefit of the doubt. We need proof.
I’m F2P. From normal play, I earn enough gold each expansion to open 100 packs on release day. I’m not a hardcore player or anything. I just complete my quests and play extra while watching the news. 100 packs. That’s normal. And yet, I barely feel I get enough dust/gold to compete at a high level. I have to play on a dust budget.
This game was already far too expensive. If it’s getting even more expensive, I’m out. There are better gaming options out there.

Sorry Ben, I only played Once Every Three Days to do my Quests… Now that those Gold Quests are gone and one has to Pay MORE cash for the Rewards Track I have Retired from the Game… And that is Well over $500.00 a Year You guys are loosing from me… I Simply have to play TOO MUCH to earn the Rewards… I have Taken my Pre-Order Expansion Money and used it on a more Reputable Game Franchise… I hope the Mass Loss of players like me who paid Top Dollar for Content to enjoy Minimal Playing of the game from Such a Drastic Change to the Game is a Big enough of a Loss to your investors to understand that During a Pandemic is not the time to go about such Drastic changes…

So have a few question on the system, could u answer them for me.
- How many hours per day is 400xp bonus is valid ? 24h max ? or is it 12h max ?
- What is eligible for 400xp bonus - wild ranked ? casual ? friend challenge ? arena ? solo adventures, etc ?
- is using any autoclicker (NOT BOTS software, just regular autoclicker e.g. clicking on hero power) is punishable with ban, etc
- is using hardware autoclicker (e.g. pencil + some rubber, technically i will be influencing my keyboard, not game with some extra software)
- is using strategy of long turns (without additional tools) punishable (e.g. just wait for the last second of timer and pressing End Turn - doing this every turn) ?
- yes all questions aimed basically to try to stay as long afk, to earn most gold

Thank you. Hoping communication issues become lessened over time as you review lessons learned and carefully consider the player perspective in advance of preparing complex communications. I like the track design, and look forward to bonus event integration, seasonal events, and achievements.

The game is fun but it’s OVERPRICED. Even the major content creators (one of your main forms of advertisement) are speaking up about how bad it is. Dwindling player numbers year after year must also tell you that.
Fix your monetization before you kill the game. Earn your money through cosmetics and unique game boards like Legends of Runeterra. Stop punishing your playerbase.

Thinking that changing six packs to gold will fix any problem is just bigger problem… Changes and Fixes must come immediately.

just make sure that will at th weekly and daily quests you can reach lvl 50. people will be happy. The many concern is that you paid 20 EUR / Dollar and you have no idea if you can reach lvl50 or not…
Its not that hard Blizz, stop being greedy and fix your system. Also maybe you see now, that lies dont lead anywhere, community is ore clever than you. Blizzard went to sh1t after Activision merger…

I appreciate you guys adjusting this so quickly and understand this is still only a first pass.
But please think about changing the quests. I enjoy playing tavern brawl, but the matches no longer count towards the daily/weekly quests so there’s no longer any point to play beyond your win. Also, I rarely play ranked anymore, I far prefer Battlegrounds, Arena and now Duels. Can we change the 7 ranked wins to 7 wins in any format?

With the old system, I at least knew if I could win 3 games, then I would get 10 gold each time. Now, we as players don’t really know how many games we really have to play to get x experience in order to grind gold for the expansion. We just see a track that isn’t necessarily helpful.
Example: Earning 100 gold for like every 10 wins
^^This is something that is pretty well defined. It isn’t as easy to count as the 10 gold every 3 wins, but it would still be something that could be worked towards.
But right now, we have this vague system that doesn’t tell us how many games it will take to get to where we need to be to get more gold or progress.
Yes, we see a number of xp, but I want to know how many games I need to play.
Sure, there’s quests, but I liked having it say gold as the reward not adding xp as an extra middle man that may or may not get me anywhere.
You have added an extra step to grinding. How are you making up the difference?

You expect us to simply trust you that the rewards will be better. Giving no numbers also makes it impossible to actually gauge how good the rewards will be.

Why play a game where I don’t feel my efforts are rewarded?
Because at some point there will be events?
The way things are even if for example we have a double xp weekend each month. I won’t personally feel happy, because I will feel that I have to play to break even because the rest of the time it is just not worth it to play the game.
Also you apologize for failing to communicate, but again you communicate the bare minimum without talking about most of the problems such as casual player experience, daily ranked experience ( getting roped for xp/ roping for xp) etc…
You did some great changes this year should have known there was a catch.

I spend one day off to get one level (100 gold) - will this be changed? I have no desire to go into the game to work all day for a hundred gold 
I’m not even talking about the fact that at later levels I will miss a whole day to advance.

expectation: play 10 games, earn 10K XP (you can do it up to 10 times for a total of 100K XP)
reality: win 5 games in ladder, 5 games in arena, 5 top 2 in BG, 5 games in duel to earn 1K XP

very nice empty promise. I’m not F2P and I don’t actually play much ladders, but paying money and still have to grind or you won’t get the skins is a great waste of my time.
make the first 50 level cost lesser XP is, in my opinion, a good way to fix it, after 50 is the grinding people’s business, but acieve lv 50 shouldn’t be that hard.

To be honest, I hope you don’t take the community reaction too seriously. Players who are overly online are extremely whiny, entitled, and toxic, and the flames are being fanned by youtubers and redditors alike. Its a non-issue for me, someone who has been playing since Naxx.
The new system is fun and engaging, and does make me want to play more. I really like how much gold I earned up front, and truly, I think it will mean people get more gold for their effort… how many people REALLY were doing every single quest every single day anyway? Those are the only people who should be upset.
