Thanks Team 5, loving the expansions, content and increased communication this year. Keep it up!
Finally, cooperation! I hereby declare that I’m returning to Hearthstone after the next patch.
Lol gamers never shut up. Honestly as a casual, this is one of the better moves Blizzard has made. Good job team, but Blizzard can still suck it.
“Later this month?” It doesn’t have to take weeks to post such update or you prob need new developers. The good thing I can see here is you’re trying to get things right despite barely useful change in this update.
good direction, but other than the 20% decrease in xp required (supplements not having a pass which is fair) and rewarding those that have grinded thus far late in - all good; the rest (especially post 50+) appears to be more of a re-structuring which is def better than before but not necessarily better than the old 3-win = 10g system. Its…OK.
i think my biggest and primary complaint at this point is: Please do not include the new mini-set into the same card packs as the existing DM card packs!
This has a VERY TERRIBLE and AWFUL feeling of “i need to SAVE my already earned packs instead of opening them now as a reward” because i wont be able to get as many packs as quickly when im post 50 when the new mini set launches, and dupe protection means saving at least 50 packs (not even 5000 gold, but the actual pack rewards from month end reward and what’s already been earned over the reward track) for the mini set release.
At least if it was a new pack type, i could at least open the already acquired packs knowing dupe free protection isnt going to make any difference on the mini set release for the Darkmoon packs. Saving 5000 gold is fine, but i have packs just waiting to be opened and it would be VERY inefficient to do so now (when i have all commons/rares/ most epics) when they will guarantee new cards because of your plans to include them into the existing Darkmoon packs…A new pack type is also a way for us to celebrate the excitement of new cards into the pool. I dont see why its beneficial to have them included in the previous pack type…
it’s small perhaps but it definitely lends to the feel of i cant open my rewards now out of fear of missing out later. Also - its gonna be a s.h.i.t.fest when you release the new mini set in the current pack type when most ppl are around level 50 and rewards (gold to get new packs) are going to be a trickle - it will highlight the slowdown of rewards even more than now because there wont be big milestones with 200 or 300 gold. Real Money becomes the Primary method of acquiring the mini set later on…at least if its a new pack type it wont make ppl feel BAD about NOT saving their packs because the vast majority simply didnt know, an you guys have been VERY bad about detailing your plans - preferring surprise (and falling on your face) rather than some transparency before hand to build hype and excitement.
on a side note, surprise methods have significant limitations when they fail to hit the mark perfectly whereas anticipation of expected rewards and then getting it is very satisfying - not as flashy, but stronger and longer lasting with few to no chances of disappointment. Maybe focus less on surprise mechanics and methods and more on the anticipation of expected reward methods by getting something you KNOW will be awesome and what you want even if you are aware before hand. Surprise events (like sex and gaming) is nice, but when you plan for it and anticipate it and then receive it, it is WAY better because you’re READY for it. Example (other than sex): Cyberpunk - the anticipation of knowing what we’re getting is enough to salivate. More transparency on details with systems can help you get more feedback before hand and be ready on launches with confidence of success.
/endrant.
Hm - and what about the feedback about the rate we can accept to find legendaries in our packs? - If you buy both of the big packs before an expansion, you maybe - maybe get half of the legendaries in a new set - and its 3 expansions pr year (+the 3 mini ones aswell)… Its really frustrating that you make people pay quite a lot for a new game and then give them 75 % of it… not to mention free to play players - if they exist… you should fix that
Can I please get 10 gold somehow? Easy daily maybe?
I’m always sitting on 40 or 90 and my OCD won’t permit this. Thanks!
Good changes Blizzard, but please, please, (1) restore the gold we get for winning matches. It provided a great incentive to keep playing. (2) Do something to stop incentivizing players to max out their rope during play for exp. (3) For the love of all the old Gods, balance standard and duels. It is pretty much unplayable right now.
I was disappointed in the beginning with the reward track system, but now I have noticed that I am spending many more hours in hearthstone than I used to, just to complete my quests. In summary nice tweeks here and there, the questing should feel easier for the more casual players.
I would like to recommend something that I noticed: You get these cosmetic points for completing achievements. The people who love the game surely love these points either way, but the rest of the community might not be feeling thrilled about them. As I am a bit neutral, I felt like these points could be used as currency for packs, cosmetics or even bound all of them to an exp reward! This sounds like a fun grind for the people who love the game, and makes people who are neutral to be able to push for more exp. I think it would be huge.
What I didn’t really like was tuning down the 7 ranked games weekly. I think making it equal on arena wins, BG wins and duel wins would make it feel better like “Win 7 ranked games, or X number of arena games, or Y games of BG, or Z games of duels”.
I think this will help reward the effort of players that spend several hour a day playing a will keep up the standard of the more you play the more you get, Additionally it will be a good idea that the casual games will also help in completing the achievements and having to play it on ranked make the ranking games a little bit less competitive as they are mean to be.
Great! simply great, this will be a wonderful way to reward the players that spend more time everyday playing.
My questions are these:
Are these changes the reason why none of my completed, or supposedly completed quests, are not logging? For example I finally got a redeemed pariah above 10 attack, but it didn’t record?
The next question is once these changes have rolled out, will any quests that should have triggered count for the new requirements?
Yeah, who doesn’t love to pay 150 gold to get 100 gold…STONKS.
Too little too late?
You guys are out of touch with what your players want or enjoy about the game
The idea is to reach it in like 2 months if u play regularly.
Way to little way to late… goodbye hearthstone
I don’t want to be forced to play ranked games at all (nor for card backs or xp). Don’t want to go close to that ces pool… Ropers, afk’ers, mindless decks, etc. Yeah, you can reroll and lose xp and get less gold for Arena, which is what i play the most. Make rerolls to get you the same xp cost quests and to be able to reroll more than once.
There’s a reroll button which you can use once a day. Get a use of it.
How is this a better idea than not forcing people to spend money to gain less money?
Also, u still don’t solve the problem that someone canroll it and get the old gods quest which is equally horrible.
What does it have to do with forcing? What does it have to do with other bad quests? You grasp after straws here man.
