OK. I reread it, and deleted that reply.
I do have an issue.
You used 70g for the average daily under the old system. That seems very high for me. The most common being a 60g, but often I reroll 50 into 50 for a quest that sort of does itself in a way that I would end up giving up gold from wins just to try to reroll the following day.
I think whatever gold I get from friends gets canceled out by pack quests (but feel free to throw some stats to prove me wrong).
thats why i took away another 70g (10g per day) so i endet up with 160g and 1120g a week. dont forget the challenge a friend quest and the 100g quests. i always traded the 80g quests in hearthpwn so you get 160g in total. still i calc with 60g in avarage.
and i think thats overall what you get, i mostly get managed to rerole to 60g, as long as you can play around the 50g quests…
btw i edited the post we are refereing to, so the numbers should be fine.

If youre going to compare the two systems, I honestly think using minimums is the best way. It removes all variables.
i agree, but
in this case both systems would scale down but the ratio wouldnt change i assume.
but on the other hand the main difference gets lost.
acctually the total amount of gold is in the new system higher than in the old one. but if you scale down the the comparison than you get problems at the top limit.
so this system has only 1 advantage given you can reach it in a moderat playtime: overall you can get more gold in the new system compared to the old one.
the only point i am not sure about is: does the contentmaker calculates the eventquests of the old system or not…
if you compare with the min numbers, than it could appear like you cant even reach the cap, so i decided to take the avarage.
I see that you changed it.
I am with you. BTW I was already arguing that the Levels 50+ Gold needs a tweak.
And do we absolutely know for a fact that there’s no Friend Quests in the new system?

Damn.
How is it we’re not at each other’s throats today?
I have a huge Twilight Zone vibe from you.
New system is only good if you grind for hours… Nearly no one plays so much…
Dude, im pissed off at other
, dont need to argue with you here
busted my neck last week, so been up and down with the painkillers more than usual.

It’s more than that.
You followed up on my post about XP/hour changes, and articulated my position, but in even better detail than I had thought of.
Hey, I dont disagree with everything you say… Just most of it!

Well, I don’t have the knowledge of games like these that others have, but I see no real advantages over the original system.
I have been around long enough to be fairly good at recognizing malarkey when I hear it though.
Everything the designers have claimed reeks of dishonesty,
and if there are no more improvements coming, then I feel like this game has reached the end of it’s charm for me.
I’ve said before: You can only bleed the base for so long.
I can play for free for a time, but when my gold is gone then so am I.

actually it has an advantage: its much easier to balance, than the old system. you have 2 regulators to balance the system.
-
xp per match
-
xp for quests
in both cases you dont need to change much, i assume they already implemented something like that, so they just need to use one lever to rise the overall xp gained per match.
and 1 multiplier (would also work with regulator by just adding up a fix amount of xp) to change the xp for quests. even without the multiplier its ez to change.

A large portion of that xp, I think around 14,800 comes from the darkmoon fair achievements which requires you to have certain cards and play certain classes. Good luck getting that exp without the multiple epics and legendaries needed.
I am not counting any extra XP. I am just counting dailies and weeklies. But the darkmoon faire achievements are a welcome help for those who can complete them.
The XP gain is simply too much of a grind. Recognize Blizzard. Being generous with your players is the way to get us to spend.

Let’s get back to what they said if they don’t do what they promised then that means no more $ from me and I’m sure alot of others. Which I will keep bringing up until it happens.

I don’t believe anyone is going to actually read this, but here it goes. The last time I paid for Hearthstone, before now, was in League Of Explorers. That’s it. For the last two years I’ve been able to accumulate around 5000gold at the end of the expansion which used to translate to 50packs, since the monetization of Battlegrounds it means BG Perks + 30packs (I achieved Legend twice over the last three months with an average of 7hours of climbing the ladder each month). BGs went from kinda free to 2000gold for which you would get both the perks and some arena tickets, none really cared about Arena but it was a “gift” of 300gold the least, to 2000gold just for the perks. There is this trend of diminishing value of your money, which deeply upsets me and I’m sure other players as well, but unlike most of you guys here, I think I know a bit more. I’ve been working as a data analyst for roughly 5 years, 2 of which for gaming companies (albeit mobile gaming). As a game analyst, my main job was to see how changes in the game increase its revenue. To put it bluntly: how making the life of players miserable and more difficult led to more profit. So yeah, I kinda lament for all that was once good about Blizzard. I used to play WoW, since 2007, and stopped with the bitter disappointment of BfA, I used to play HotS since Alpha and stopped when Blizzard effectively pulled the plug, and so on and so forth. Blizzard is becoming a company of “I used to…” The same thing, I’m afraid might happen with Hearthstone. This might be the last expansion i’m going to play if the situation is not properly addressed and fixed. It might seem extremely difficult at the moment and life without it might seem empty and unbearable but, hey, I used to say the very same about my ex-gf and I’m okay now. Probably I, and hopefully most of you, find something else to play whilst pooping. Cheers

I agree with almost everything you said. Blizzards greed knows no end.

hey blizz,
you think we will stop showing you your shady methods, just because you released shadowlands?
wont happen old friend/new enemy! ;D
nice timing by the way, implementing a new bad system at the sametime with a release of an expansion of your core IPs. hopefully ppl are distracted enough to forget about the crap you did in hearthstone?
wont happen!
look at us! we got a new one among us (TarMandenios) from the industry, showing us how you wanna try to rise revenues. how you wanna bait us into more payments, how you wanna punish your core gamers.
wont happen! we will remind you…
