My desktop runs at a native 5120X1440. Since this morning I noticed that Hearthstone has everything blurry, especially noticeable on card text. The in game resolution is capped at 2560X1440 however when set to this the outside boarder looks all jagged and misshaped. My in game overlays look massive as well. My deck tracker which is usually small takes up about 1/4 of the screen now.
I have images to show but I am not allowed to post image links apparently. If anyone knows how to include images in my post I can update it.
I also noticed when changing the resolution to most options in the list, the actual clarity of the game image does not improve or lower.
I have tried rolling back my graphic card’s device drivers, since it did recently update. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling Hearthstone but to the same outcome. All other games run fine, I also play WoW and Overwatch.
For the time being, deck tracker has settings to adjust the size of the interface but it doesn’t remove opponents from being in the center of the board. At first I disabled opponents but I seem to have worked it out. Unfortunately I’m unsure what I did but I’m only posting so that you know there are small settings tricks.
I remember when wide screens became available and there was a waiting period that didn’t last long, for mass media and gaming companies to catch up. It’s a shame they can’t all roll out at once.
I know my post isn’t much help. I guess I’m posting because I’m commiserating with you.
I managed to find the solution. I was having issues with the curser flickering as other’s have stated in open threads. I followed the advice on the follow response. To be fair it did make my curser stop flickering, however the entire game seemed to compress down into a terrible resolution that was unchangeable through options in game.
