I didn’t like the idea either at first, but now… I don’t have any problem with them yet… since both of the players get the benefit of them. Except the one which already has the current bonus some how… like +5 HP… 40 card deck user don’t make it up to 40 because they already have the +5HP… I am OK with them yet.
Having played through them now i honestly forget most of the time they are actually active and just play my game as normal. I don’t think they are that bad but i would say they need to be removed from standard just for the integrity of standard.

I played a lot of ranked Standard today and the anomalies have screwed me over personally multiple times already, plus I saw them screw over a few friends while spectating.
I was trying the new Enrage Warrior and literally my first two games on it I got the anomaly that gives both players the old 10 mana Yogg in their starting hand which meant I couldn’t do my miracle pop off turns with Anima Extractor hand buffs because they would land on the anomaly Yogg instead of my win condition minions. The third game I got the anomaly that adds two Shifter Zerus’ to both players starting hand so once again I couldn’t do my pop off turns without getting the Zerus’ out of my hand first which delayed the game long enough / messed up my curve that I lost.
My friend played Shadow Priest and it gave the anomaly that upgrades both heroes starting powers like Baku, but Shadow Priest doesn’t have a Baku power so only his opponent got it which happened to be Warrior 4 armor hero power.
Both players dont get benefits, why would i need to choose a totem when the hunter hits me in the face for 3 every turn.
Tree druid hade a nice game when i kept shuffling primordial waves in my deck.

Hmm, yes you are right and I was wrong… I just say I am OK with them yet… but yes, it was interesting when I had to chose new hero power instead of mine and they were not so good for my class… but still I could win, not using hero power usually… only when there is nothing else to do.
Anomaly is terrible. None please. Especially in standard.
Imagine complaining about a time limited in-game event in a multiplayer game. Such an antifun guy.
He is not antifun, he just doesn’t get his fun from the same source as you do. Some people enjoy the randomness of HS but many people are vocally against it. And have been long before anomalies were a thing.
I have resigned myself to the fact that Team 5 wants HS to be a random $^&*show with minimal balance so anomalies leave me cold. They are just another symptom of what’s wrong with HS design but I knew it was not going to get any better.
This Anomaly reminds me of that Inception movie.

It’s all fun, until we get the ‘My Mech Rogue opponent played a 7/7 in Turn 1’ thread. Yes, it is very ‘lucky’ something like that happening, but one time will be enough to prove that Anomalies should not be in Standard Ranked.
Even if you don’t agree that they don’t belong in ranked, there’s no reason for them to be in every constructed mode, making it so that you can’t actually escape them if you don’t like them.
They literally told a large number of players “if you don’t like all this random, go play something else for a week” and I can’t see how that will improve their business.
In this case the 40 cards deck should start with 40 health.
Yes, thats why I was suprised when my enemy didn’t get extra 5 HP because Renethal already gave him this bonus.
To make things worse the effect of reshuffle used cards in the game deny the other advantage the 40 cards deck have in long games.
This week better use normal 30 cards deck and don’t risk your pay offs being neutralized.
