Remove the Anomaly Crap From Standard, Please

the event is strange : we are in a competitive game where suddenly a lot of rules change and RNG come into the game, sometimes in you favor sometimes not ! and this is where the problem is : a shadow priest having anomalie "replace your hero power " is not what they want at all this screw them their games .

i think if they had made another kind of event it will had worked better .

anyway i am ok with peoples enoying the event even if i am averaging liking it .

most anomalies benefit both players but the discover a new hero power one should be changed because shadow priest and warlock shouldnt be forced to change hero powers

here’s an anomaly I would support… since they force this crap on us anyways…

“Feel the pain of shamans”: both players start with the shaman hero power.

I like 'em.

It forces you to think on your feet, adapt, strategize on how to get the best of it.

Everyone is starting by now to know their favorite decks ins and outs, it’s almost you go into a game in auto pilot. You know your mulligan, you know your early game, you know your wincon, you know your outs.

But throwing a curve ball like that forces to rethink the matchup (slightly), adapt to a new situation. I like it.

Besides, it’s only for a week, not a big deal.

There’s a 100% chance to get anomalies for the first week, and then that chance becomes 25% UNTIL THE NEXT EXPANSION is released, meaning this event will last for months. I swear those who bring up this point don’t read the patch notes.

I kind of wish the Fall Masters tour event included these anomalies. You just know they won’t though because of them playing on private servers. It would be fun to see first hand if they actually make a difference in competitive play even at a 25% chance.

Some of the anomalies are so blatantly beneficial to specific decks. Yes, please give that warlock more copies of their busted cards…fun fun.

I honestly like the idea I or my opponent could lose their hero power but I also have a card that changes my hero power so it doesn’t really phase me.

In general I prefer randomness over cookie cutter solitaire decks. Games are more entertaining when both sides have a chance at random luck and you can’t predict whats going to happen.

Did the Diablo 4 dev team move to HS after their downfall? or what happened because based on the anomaly, they are completely incompetent in certain approval positions. Because someone hallucinating these innovations is one thing, but someone later accepted it. It was only one game that they managed correctly until now. We managed to break this record too, even if it was negative.

Agreed. It’s ruined the game for me for this week.

…because it’s not fun for everyone? :man_facepalming:

Stop shilling for idiots, who introduce more and more RNG into the game. It should be at least somehow not like roulette… otherwise we could have just rolled thew dice.

GTFO, you *****

I’m going to dissent from the majority here. I love anomalies, I love random effects. It can go too far, such as with casino mage, but this is the kind of randomness that tests player skill by forcing them to adjust on the fly to game conditions.

I can see how people who want to play the same game over and over and just move up the ranks as quickly as possible with their OP net decks would be put off by anomalies.

“More and more RNG”

You obviously haven’t played the game for very long.

RNG has been a massive part of HS since the start.

Just git good or FO

Classic hearthstone complaint.

A particular thing changes the outcome of your game almost 0% of the time, but the one time it does ‘cause’ you to lose in a particularly frustrating way, then you suddenly think the entire concept is trash.

In the long run, basically none of the anomalies really affect anyone’s win rates. Take a breath, maybe even a break, and queue up again. It’s just a game.

Why have it then.

Since most of the time it’s insignificant and the time it isn’t it’s frustrating, then why even have it at all.

I really believe most people who enjoyed playing the game competitively have left this casinofest behind. What is left are mostly people who enjoy shenanigans and circus show card design.

And games are susposed to fun, Anomalies aboslutly are not.
