Permanent effects are what I think is wrong

I completely agree with OP.
I think worst offenders are:

For the rest of the game you draw a card at the start of each turn
For the rest of the game you gain 1 mana crystal at the start of each turn
For the rest of the game you canā€™t spend more mana than you have available.
For the rest of the game - if your life point reach zero - you lose the game

These just suck!

Cause Iā€™ve play many card games in real life that has perma stuff, and not all are bad, so your saying you would never like a card like Cā€™thun to be made? Where you had to buff it to be an end game card vs a 10 mana that just did 6 damage? Also you can say all the cards that keep track for ā€œrest of the gameā€ are also apart that same system, such as Yog. Cause rest of the game it count how many spell were play to play a random spell.

There been some good from the ā€œrest of the gameā€ cards but others are horribly made, thatā€™ll be a given, and if I was truly Bias I would just say Druidā€™s was fine, but I mention how some cards that werenā€™t even meta were good cards.

You need something good to compare to something bad, thatā€™s a given, we ALREADY have these cards, so there no reason to just cry out for their removal, itā€™s better to say learn from X mistake to make more generic better cards.

There a reason Adventure even did so well cause of the ā€œrest of the gameā€ stuff, but when itā€™s vs player it very 1 sided, so needing to find the power level of just right will take time, and classes that devā€™s like will always be abit more favor more then other classes, Itā€™s why I personally think there should be a specialist for each class on Team 5 to focus gameplay around 1 class per expansion, and not have these ā€œbucketā€ of 3-5 thing try doinā€™ stuff, just have 2 solid buckets for each legendary, or make them work well together as a package core. Iā€™ve always merit the good and the bad of anything.

Well, I am no fan of the current permanent effects, and I did not like the Baku/Genn effects either.
I think the current quests are an abject failure.

Totally agreed. While Iā€™m a wild player in NA, Iā€™ve been dabbling with standard in EU.
Today Iā€™ve faced exclusively quest warrior, quest druid, and quest mage. It was obvious that once quest lock and shaman got nerfed, other quest decks would rise to take their place.

odd he only complains about the quests but not about cards that buff your deck like the legendary giving +1/+1 to all beast on your deck

the paladin card to buff your entire deck by 1

or incanter flow all of them last for the rest of the game

Ok, if I make a list of all the cards that basically run the ā€œrest of the gameā€ - you say you will dislike every single 1? That include Hero Cards, Card that keep track of counter, cards that repeats stuff, cards that change how the normal play should be, Handbuffs/Card Buff, Types of cards (Murloc) and etc? Cause Rest of the game cover more then just passive buff , but stuff that doesnā€™t have right away effects. Even if they never get play. You will also hate EVERY adventure? You just want X Stat hit X Stat as the only game play?

Cause that what true bias would be, to hate everything but 1 thing.

Cause Buffing a card is unfair cause you have different stats, or get got a bonus thing now like if a card dies it return to the hand, Secrets are unfair cause you canā€™t play around every secret with 1 card you need test the most dangerous and most well know to the final few with limited informationā€¦

Yes that how itā€™ll true break down if you were to just delete 1 passive effect itā€™ll be a cascading affect to other stuff around till everything is generic.

i wish the new yogg is good,
i rolled it 20 times in standard on turn 5 and only won 3 game out of it.

i want to see some rod of roasting result which i didnā€™t see at all yesterday.
edit : i would totally be happy if i lose because of it.

Iā€™ve actually wanted to hear some thoughts on the druid questline from a druid main.
Druid is my least played class and playing the questline druid this expansion seemed to me like a coin flip more than anything. Just pray to god that the opponent doesnā€™t play taunt every turn. So far i have a solid 50%wr with it but iā€™m curious on what could be improved or toned down with it.

I dont agree on this point in fact my favorite cards (hero cards) all have this , this is the mechanic i like the most in the whole game.

They can all be removed too. The game has gone over a cliff in terms of power and cheating.

I guess I should say the Whisper of the Old God Yog, as he keep a counter for up to 30 spells play, really funny to do in wild.

If you use the same deck in wild that Ramp and draw with spell to Yog right away, or even Priest, you can do some quick Darkmoon Yogg games.

Honestly you can run Druid Questline as a Side quest in the deck, donā€™t focus the deck around just hero power and smash face. If you run all spell + Hero Attack cards and your opponent plays Taunt after taunt you lose. Same thing if you run abit minions. I find The Questline to be better off in a Mid-range style deck from testinā€™ so many decks when I made post over Druid deck testing on the behalf of people.

As I wonā€™t wish to derail this forum from itā€™s meaning, you can see some people play with that ideal as the quest was a side thing not something rush with feedback and gameplay.

instead of removing stuff, i believe they gonna add something similiar to yu-gi-oh !!
patches the pirate already do something when in deck.

i wonā€™t be surprised if they print reactive spell : when this in hand + [E] play a spell : reduce enemy mana by 1 and discard this at the end of this turn.

[E} for enemy
[A] for ally, gotta shorten this text for hearthstone.

basically sucking out other side mana if they spam spell.
only for that one turn.

FLJ was one of the most complained about cards ever.
With good reason, It was flatly too good.
I remember quite clearly the hate that card got.

Well, if thatā€™s the case and they are copying Yu-gi-Oh now, Iā€™m probably quitting the game.
They are turning it into a moronic vomit fest.

Trying use card text alone is wrong, cause there are cards that do ā€œrest of the gameā€ stuff but not say it.

By your ruling of it not saying it, that shouldnā€™t be rest of the game, but it really is. So no they wonā€™t have the text, but the general effect of ā€œrest of the gameā€ when play or used.

If we go by hate Mage would have 0 cards ,permanent affects are here to stay get ready for hero cards next expansion.

FLJ was too good. Mage isnā€™t supposed to be able to heal really at all.
Mage is supposed to be a glass cannon.

Imagine that instead of lifesteal elementals FLJ would have gotten +3 Spell Damage - would it be hated more or less? :wink:

To me FLJ not even about power -its about amazing hero portrait with amazing voice lines =)
