That reminds me of Creep by Stone Temple Pilots.
Grunge & Post-Grunge songs have been popular in this thread. Not sure if I or anyone else has posted this one yet:
Soul Asylum was my thing in the day.
I loved Dave’s voice.
I was combing through a list of #1 hits from the 70’s today. I generally avoid putting songs with long intro’s before the lyrics start onto my playlists, but I made an exception for this 1972 hit by The Temptations:
loved this… everytime i hear this i hum it all day
During the last few days, I’ve spent a lot of time organizing and cleaning up my playlists.
Today, I was working on 70’s and 80’s female rock playlists.
I already posted Brass in Pocket from the 70’s, so here’s an 80’s Pretenders’ song:
I had long assumed that Joan Jett had borrowed a lot of her style from Suzi Quatro, but Joan somehow managed to just make it her own. Many years later, Joan would confirm that Suzi was a huge influence:

I saw Joan for my 40th Bday. She still gives blood every performance.
And yeah; Suzi was a huge influence:
I saw Joan Jett once when I was in high school at Pine Knob in Michigan.
It was a fantastic show, because Joan was clearly have a good time and the crowd was so into her. The “Oh Ya’s” coming back from the crowd during Do You Wanna Touch Me was nearly deafening.
The largest amount concert memorabilia that I bought at one time was at that concert.
I think Truckstop mentioned a Detroit concert, so he might be from Michigan as well.
I saw Heart and Kansas perform at Cobo Hall in Detroit.
