I listened to some of the songs here, they are not for me. But I did enjoy looking at Alizee!
So what kind of music do you like?
I like a wide variety of music. Other people’s posts, trigger me to listen to one of my playlists, containing music of a similar genre or theme, and to then share back some songs that they might like.
I am always on the lookout for some good song that I did not already know about or perhaps one that I had forgotten about, so I can add it to one of my playlists.
“In Mordor Where The Shadows Are is a tribute record to Summoning with 21 contemporary bands paying tribute in the form of cover songs.”
I sampled this ^ work in YouTube Music, and I have to say that I do not relate to this music at all. While listening to this stuff, I thought to myself, the most similar music that I have to this music on one my a playlists is Du Hast by Rammstein, and it’s not really that close, but ironically the next song auto-play started up after finishing the tribute, was Du Hast.
Just for smiles tonight.
I used to call this: “the jump-rope song” as a kid 'cause that’s what I would do while listening to it.
(I was a strange kid)

Possibly, and I think it’s also interesting that it was six years before Sugar Hill Gang.

I also have this ^ on a playlist, and in response to it, I will throw some more funk your way, and one Blondie song that includes a little rap:
I like this version too:
“Surprise me”. Well, One from my kid days.
My mother would have dumped my Dad in a heartbeat for this man.
I seen Waylon Jennings back in 96 as part of Lollapalooza. I don’t know why they thought thought it would be a good idea to put him on the same main stage with Metallica as the headliner and Soundgarden and the Ramones. Anyhow it didn’t work out very well for Waylon. He opened with the theme song from Dukes of Hazzard and got about half way into the second song which was a cover of Me and BobbyMcGee before the crowd rioted and he had to leave the stage.
Seeing the Ramones on their final tour made it all worthwhile .
One of my favorites from the days when I was closeted, but really wanted to just be myself.
One of the best LGBTQ songs ever.
