My favorite Cat Stevens song is Wild World. Father and Son is also a great song. Peace Train and Moonshadow are decent songs as well.
I have an 80’s playlist that features female vocals by Blondie, Quarterflash, Pat Benetar, The Motels, and more.
Love The Motels. What a voice Martha had.
Because The Night was released in 1978, and do I have it on a 70’s playlist, rather than on that 80’s playlist with those other female vocals.
Here is a Bonnie Tyler song from the 70’s:
Some of my favorite female vocals from the 70’s come from Stevie Nicks:
Major Tom, what a great Synthpop/New Wave song, which I have on my playlist of songs that tell a story, along with the song that inspired Major Tom, David Bowies’ Space Oddity, which has more of a Psychedelic Folk feel to it.
Synthpop and Electropop are among some of my favorite music genres and playlists, so I will include a few Synthpop songs here:
I linked Don’t You Want Me, because I have long suspected it to have been an inspiration for Goyte’s Someone that I Used To know:
I was crazy for that song as a litle kid. Still like it a lot.
And i noticed i share Zee,s taste in music to a rather large extend.
Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. It’s nice to share some music favorites with random strangers and have it strike a chord (pun intended) with some of them.

56 years ago today I was born in a small town in Arkansas.
This song was near the top of the charts.
Happy Birthday!
In my first post in this thread, I had mentioned that I had only recently learned while putting together my first Goth playlist that Elder Goths from the 80’s we’re listening to a lot of the same Alternative music that I was listening to back then. My Goth Alternative playlist surprised me by becoming one my largest playlists with over 50 songs, so here are some more songs from that playlist:
In the mood to fight? Love this song, and ODB. Warning: Hard rap.
