I am making this post because I see the issue being discussed, but always with some mobile OS tag. My issue is PC/Windows 10.
Lots of features seem to be broken right now. I often (~80% failure) can’t log on because of sprites. If I do get into the game, I get disconnected when trying to start a match or start a battleground. I have faced two opponents now that have neither touched their cards nor forfeited due to inactivity. I would describe the game as broken/unplayable.
That error means you disconnected while logging in, usually. I suspect that’s what’s happening in all of these cases since all of those are disconnect behaviors. If you have any hearthstone add on programs (deck tracker, innkeeper, etc) try uninstalling them and see if it fixes things. If it fails, power cycle your connection and swap to ethernet if you’re on wifi.
If you’re still having this problem, please create a WinMTR test which catches a disconnection. You want to restart the test every 10-15 minutes until you catch one of these problems. Once you’ve caught one red handed, run the test for about 5 more minutes. This will let us look for problems between your house and our servers which may cause this.
If you have problems with posting it due to a link error, go ahead and copy paste this into your next post, and replace “WinMTR goes here” with your test.
Today I started WinMTR, logged in successfully, closed both, started WinMTR, logged in successfully, closed both, then the third try I got sprites again. These data all from just hanging on that screen for a minute or two.
I read about the sprites while making a ticket. It was mentioned that clearing the settings using windows explorer and typing %temp% in the path would let you delete the blizzard folder.
It sounds like you didn’t have this running when the disconnect actually happened. I doen’t see anything glaring in here so we may need you to run it again and keep testing until you catch the issue. The reason we’re using this particular test is because your problem is intermittent - so we need to make sure we catch it red-handed, so to speak. That should let us know what part of the network connection is failing (hopefully.)
I have the same problem as well playing on Windows PC. I can connect fine on NA server. But i get the sprites message 90% of the time trying to log in to Asia.
Have tried reinstalling, clearing temp folder, turning off tracker and launching game, dns flush and am already using a wired ethernet connection. Please help fix!!
