atleast this explains the nerf to healing in priest
I have mixed feelings about this. First, where was that skin during the last expansionâs paid track? I have a bad feeling that Iâll have to pay more money for white/green Xyrella someday. It also seems odd that a âPurified Shardâ is a weapon rather than something that would cure Xyrellaâs daughter. Maybe Xyrella has a target in mind for that shard?
On the bright side, priests get a new goal for the long game ⌠which can be burned by Tickatus. Tickatus rotates out next year, right?
The final card looks like just a tech card for control warrior matchups because itâs too slow vs anything besides control and tick lock should delete this with a decent draw. But still worth running because itâs a draw engine for priest.
Really good addition although how good it is depends heavily on the meta.
Destroying the enemy disease inside her daughter is kinda like destroying an enemy hero if you stretch your imagination far enough. Either that or the shard really has the power to obliterate heroes.
We will see if this works. Just noting that if you donât draw it you may lose it.
you donât play this quest and hope to draw the 10 mana spell; you build your deck to win fast and to draw the 10 mana spell as soon as possible.
Ticketus will do nothing to this deck (unless it burns all your X cost cards, so you canât complete the quest ever).
The murloc has a real chance to counter it
Can a shadowpriest play the quest? Its a quest and a spell technically since counterspell works on quests.
Hahahah that would definitely work
The quest involves playing ten cards, assuming the second and third parts of the quest are not cards themselves. Itâll take eleven cards if you use a card to fish the shard out of your deck. I suppose you can Tickatus-proof the shard if you get a perfect turn with new Xyrella and Thrive in the Shadows. Itâs not exactly a fast win in Standard ranked.
I sorta hope the shard gets classified as something other than spell, minion, or weapon. Otherwise, they just added a literal âI winâ card to the Discover pool. Someone could potentially get the shard off of a Venomous Scorpid if it is a spell, along with many other ways to Discover a spell or get a random spell.
Itâs a quest reward and thus not discoverable. Even Blizz isnât that blind lol.
Darn, that was fast. I was just thinking about editing that post since I donât remember ever Discovering a quest reward. I guess itâs a bit late now âŚ
Not how any of this works. Scorpid doesnât pull from your deck and Quest rewards canât show up in Discovers. You can get the Quest.
seeing that, if their is a lot of quest priest there might end up being a lot of celestial druid.
No prob bro lol. 20 characters
Personally, I refuse to believe a meta will exist where Celestial Druid is the best choice to counter a Quest Priest. Somehow Tickatus needs to not be the best answer, and the collection of decks on ladder to make that happen boggles my mind.
I think people put a bit too much hopes on the shard. I think itâs just a bit faster(if lucky drawing) than the new Câthun which was already situational in standard priest. And Câthun does something similar.
I think itâs more about the small drawing rewards that will make the quest better.
In case no one else pointed this out, this is a Wronchi card reveal. Iâm guessing you could get it by searching for Wronchi Stormwind in Youtube. If thereâs a Hearthstone 2, Wronchi should be the art director.
I like the card but
priest doesnt need it as it already has a powerful win stragety that doesnt line up with this card.
the bonus is that you get to discover 3 cards which is helpful
similar at first look, but very different:
- chtun doesnât win the game, the quest does
- to play chtun, you weaken your deck
- to play the quest, you just have 1 less card in your starting hand basically. to complete this particoular quest, you just play normally. the quest also rewards you with âdraw a cardâ, which negates the turn 1 disadvantage.
I think it will be playable
I also think it will be playable, itâs just that if this card gets to a competitive level I think it will be more because of the specific drawing mechanic that is very helpful considering that it doesnât require alot of deck building and priest lacks drawing, than the shard win-condition itself.
People might even try it in wild, reno priest (and I think also ress priest) has cards pretty on curve so people might use it just for the drawing tool that would give reno, raza, polkelt, etc. and leave the shard as a second win con against people with too much armor, ice block, etc. or a chance against bomb warrior that plagues your deck. At least it would be cool to experiment.
